just wondering, once we get the visa stamped by post do we have to go out of the country and come back to do the landing paper works (i mean if we are living in Canada already).. or we can just continue staying here...? cos i don't have an US visa, in case if i have to go and come back?

Also in case if they call for interview to Buffalo, what should we do, if we dont have a US visa? I ma assuming interview will be in Buffalo and not in Ottawa..

I don't know if you have to "LAND" officially; but guess that it will be written in PPR or when you receive your PP back. But 'flagpoling' is an option in order to enter US for valid purpose. I did that long back when I first applied for Co-op Work Permit during school. I had a terrible experience. Anyway, I carried a letter from my school's career office, US border sealed my passport with Administrative Refusal and then I was escorted by heavily armed policeman to the bus which took me to the Canadian consulate. If you search for 'flagpoling' in the main search bar of the forum; you'll see more topics/posts on that.

Could your meds request be stuck in the mail strike back logged or probably got lost. If your cash got encashed ask them for a copy of it and u will find your file number behind it. Then go do your medicals with that file number.

And got automated response just now says when they received my application with UIC, Application # (EPXXXXXX) and big instruction such as "When should I contact CIC?", When will CIC contact me?......and so on.

But, I was trying to check E-Case by using those numbers, none of them works out.

That means ur medical is on its way.. Wait until monday morning and u will have access to ecas.. when u get this email they will sent the medicals the same day or couple of days after... So keep checking ur post box.. congrats

Congrats. After July 18, everyone is getting this automated email which looks like an AOR. Moreover, they will send your file no. (which starts with 'B') and medical form in regular mail. So, keep checking your mailbox as Sinpguy said.

Re: e-CAS, it refreshes every Sunday evening. So, my guess is that you will be able to log in with either UCI# or App# on Sunday night. It will just say that they received your application on some date. That's all for now.

One more thing I noticed that they will promptly reply to your query now if you ever email to them. Remember to put UCI#, App#, File#(if you have it), Name, Passport, DOB, Nationality and others that seem important.

At time of receiving this email, I thought 'Application No' is my 'File No.' as it seems in e-CAS identification type drop-down menu. So, I figured 'EP' may stand for 'Port Erie' like 'B' stands for 'Buffalo'. It's just a wild guess ;D

But surely Application No. is NOT File No. My file no. starts with 'B'.

Hello to all members

I soon will be sending my PR application to Buffalo. I have a question regarding the mailing address. I live in an apartment with my brother but the problem is that my name is not listed in the apartment's directory so any courier that comes for me is returned back. my question is should I include the buzzer # of my apartment in my mailing address. secondly, I have seen in the PR application that if I provide my email address then all CIC correspondence will be through the email, is that true? will I be getting every notification eg AOR, medical, file transfer, PPR through my email.

hi Tanyar, i dont you could cause you have to show the doctor the medical request that came from the vo. and yeah, i wish buffalo would be more faster in processing the applications, im also waiting for my ppr...lets keep our fingers crossed.

MED REQ comes in regular mail. And I'm not sure but nothing comes in courier from CIC.

FYI, AOR started to come in email since this July 18, 2011. So, CIC can update their correspondence style when they want. You should keep this in mind.
