I missed out a lot during my absence here.

Anyway, I've just quickly skimmed through all the posts here and sinpguy is right. You are supposed to include your spouse when you are applying for immigration unless she doesn't want to immigrate to Canada. This is nothing like sponsoring or regular visa application. Everything will be done via you since you will be the principal applicant and time will be same as it's specified in your visa processing centre (i.e. Buffalo).

You include whatever is required in the application checklist. I've already mentioned that it's not same as regular visa application. I know that wives have to provide pictures, videos etc. whatever applicable to prove the marriage believable to the VO from their home country. You will probably not require anything more than a marriage certificate (if it's not in English, it needs to be translated and certified), and/or 'Nikahnama' (I think you know what I mean), her birth certificate (during PNP application) and copy of her passport (later you will need her original passport for Visa stamping here).

FYI, don't apply for a Visitor Visa for her during your immigration process. There won't be any chance as it will prove that she wants to stay here permanently. If you want her here, make her apply for visa before you finally send your application to Buffalo.

Let me know if you require more info.
Usually how long is the validity on dependent's PR entry visa?
