Hello everyone,

I am one of the Buffalo forgotten ones. I have never posted in this forum before but regularly followed it. I guess i didn't have anything that hasnt been covered in this forum. But now im really confused and at the last stretch of my patience. I was wondering if any of you would comment on my situation.. what you think is going one? My application was received on June 29th, 2011. I was contacted in February 2013 to redo medical and provide personal history since appellation date. I was contacted again on June 18 asking payment of RFPR, which i promptly paid that day. Now today, June 27, they emailed me again with the following:

Dear :

This refers to your application for Permanent Residence in Canada. Your file has been transferred to the Case Processing Pilot in Ottawa for further review. It will be reviewed by one of our officers, with priority given to applications that were received at CIC before September 1st, 2011.

Case Status:

In order for us to continue the processing of your application, we require the following documents:

· My name and UCI
Passport/Travel Document: Valid passport or travel document - (scanned copy of) this information must include the first page from your current valid PPT and every page containing any travel information (stamps and counterfoil(s)/visa(s) previously issued. This must be received at this office by: 08/26/2013

So im wondering why would they require scanned copy of my passport again... i was hoping for an actual ppt:( Would any of you guys please speculate on whats going on? with a date mentioned (august 26) does that mean i have to wait till august now?

Thank you

Dear,
If you saying this, what I can say consider I applied May 10, 2010!!!! Now 37months of waiting. I did medical two times, last one is already expired. In Canada for six years, have PhD degree, working, have Canadian kids. And importantly have no clue about the status of my applications.
Hope the best for all of us sooner and sooner. Waiting is very hard.

Dear Salem,

I really wish you best of luck for your visa process. Its really hard journey......patience is virtue.

Hi Salem,
Do not worry, we are in the same boat. My status is similar to you, but I have done the medical just once. I have paid the RFPR too. We have to wait and have hope.

hey guys,
I applied under FSW in April 2011...got my file number May 31, 2013....for 25 months there's no update on my file...until now ithe satus is (Recieved by visa Office). I haven't even received an email saying that they transferred my file from Buffalo to Ottawa. I see some who applied in 2011 have their medicals already. Should I send a follow up email to CIC? Please advise. Thank you!

You should definitely request for some details on your application. Make sure your questions are specific though.

Dear Salem,

Does hearing about your experience make me feel any better? Not really but I sure can appreciate how frustrating it must be for you. Hopefully it will be over for you very soon.

All the best.

Hi rony,

Actually I got an email last week to submit the original fbi and pcc from home country and personal history for the last year. Fbi takes more than a month, however inhave already applied. Actually I have not travelled to pakistan since 2011 and I submitted police certificate in 2012. But still they are asking for an updated one.

I emailed to cpp Ottawa to discuss the issue and the hey replied now its not valid, you have to tske updated one.

Hope this answer your question.

Has anyone requested for GCMS after becoming a PR? I'm thinking that it can help in knowing how decisions are made & who likely makes the decision. what factors are the decision based on.
This may go a long way in helping others who are waiting...
