Hi All,

First of all, I would like to thank you for your support and in sharing your experiences which helped me in understanding the situation at the CIC offices be it NYC or OTT and now Port of Spain.

My wife and I had an in-land landing today in OTT. Here is the experience;

- I packed up every single document till date i had send to CIC as a back up just in case they asked me anything and i should have it.
- Reached there around 8:50 AM for a 9 AM appointment.
- Secure facility, so u need to be buzzed in.
- Once inside they took the invitation document in about 15 mins, called our names to the counter.
- Asked me and my wife three standard questions;
--Were you ever denied entry to Canada?
--Were you ever asked to leave Canada?
--Do you have any dependents?

"Please sign here. With this your landing is completed and you will receive the Card in the mail in 6~8 weeks. Please apply for a permanent SIN."

Hope this helps others in answering some time line questions and i hope and pray the best for you all. Lets meet again at the time of Citizenship nightmare. lol

Just kidding

Regards
Hi dumdumhogayamein,

All those of you who have families outside of Canada and got a request to redo their medical, did they send you the same medical forms they did the first time? Or different ones? Thanks

I have just received my GCMS note. It shows under outgoing correspondence that I was sent a medical request form on Feb 20, 2013, which i recieved via regular post and already done. it shows on the gcms that they have received it and it is passed. but it also shows on the same day another request was sent regarding RPRF and passport request which i have never received. neither via e-mail nor by regular mail. it shows the due date for those is april 20, 2013. i sent a e-mail to ottawa just asking the status of my application, they replied on 17th april that my file is under processing and nothing have to be done on my part. i am so frustrated and pissed off right now. can anyone please advise what should i do now? i sent ottawa another e-mail and calling the call center (cant get through any operator) please advise

Yasmin01,
I have heard that CPP-O now correspondes only via email.
Anyways I think you should wait for the response from CPP-O they would probably send you the RPRF request via email again. Your situation is nothing new for thema nd they understand this mis-coordination. I have also heard that they have people working in two shifts i.e. day and night to take care of the backlog. Unfortunately they dont communicate well enough with each other.

In short, if you dont get a reply from them by midweek than just call them again.

Chicka
I got the electronic type of form this time. ANd it was definitely different than the previous one.

I am very frustrated too. My application is almost 24 months. The cost that we all re-did our medicals last March and now work permits and study permits are expiring first week of august. if I wont hear anything this month I may aswell renew again next month..
I emailed them yesterday requesting for my status but they haven't replied yet. What sucks is that people who applied after me got their PPRs. System sucks!

Do not worry.
My application is 36 months (12 months more that you) . I have paid the RPRF, May 2012. Also I have done the medical May 2012.
CIC is saying my application is in queue for review.
All of our permits(my study permit, my wife's work permit, my son's visitor permit) will expire on September 1th.
Our visas have been expired, .....

Just hope to something happen.

Is there anyone here in this forum who has sent email to Minister Jason Kenney?

Please check your spam mail folder to be absolutely sure. You may have missed the PPR email or mail. The reply you got appeared to me as a generic reply.
