Hello guys I need serious help pls..Iam using my friends user id here..
I am in US and i want to know how can I order GCMS as I am outside canada.
And my ecas shows decision made but i havent ppr yet and it more than 2 weeks m worried

I am in the US and I used http://www.caipsnotes.com/ to get my GCMS. I used their service twice.
I dont think you can use CIC's online service, it is only for canadian residents

Saw this on the CIC website:
Proof that you have the right to make a request:
To be eligible, you must be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada or an individual currently present in Canada.

Finally got PPR on last Friday night around 9pm central time... here is my timeline:

Oct 2011 sent application to Buffalo
March 2013 received medical request, never got AOR
April 01 2013 did medical exam
April 16 2013 medical exam results received
April 26 2013 PPR

Will send out our passports today!!!!

Oct 2011 sent application to Buffalo
March 2013 received medical request, never got AOR
April 01 2013 did medical exam
April 16 2013 medical exam results received
April 26 2013 PPR

Hi,

I am sending our passports to Ottawa from the US, so any suggestions?

I am using priority mail to send passports, which I will be able to track, but how will CPP ottawa send it back to us? I cannot include prepaid return envelope since I am not based in Canada. So how to track passports once CPP send them back?

Any help is appreciated.

First of all, congrat for getting the PR.
Please use UPS or FEDEX rather than USPS. With USPS, as you mentioned, you cannot include a prepaid returned envelop for tracking. The total for you and your husband is around $70 using UPS.

I am in the same boat as you. I sent in our passports today, and hoping they will send it back in a month or so.

Hey Guys,

I have read in a few other forums that if you are from a visa exempt country (I'm from Australia) you do not have to send your original passport just a copy of it. Does anyone know if this is true? Or is this the new system and becasue we applied over a year ago we follow the old system?

Hey dumdumhogayamein,

I would recommend to do flagpole instead of doing inland landing, because once you call CIC call centre, your landing date would come after 2 months, if this is feasible for you then go for it, I hope this help.

I'm still waiting for my Passport back from Ottawa.
