id assume that since they asked for your pcc theyre still doing security checks. which might take a while. depending on your specific case.
id say anywhere from a month to three months from when they received your updated pcc. assuming everything else is in order and theres no problems.
id say email them mid may if you havent heard anything.

Thanks Sunspotss! :)

I have changed circumstances in my marital status. I got married, my docs reached CIC 2 days back, I was wondering how much time it takes for CIC to add spouse in the file and issue Passport request (PPR)

Heres the background, I cleared medicals on 1 may 2012, and paid rprf on 6 march 2013 (for myself only, still waiting for PPR)

my spouse is in Canada on spouse WP and she has cleared her meds in Feb 2013, I didnt pay for RPRF for her yet

Any thoughts would be much appreciated :) :) :)

Did they ask for the documents? Or you just sent them in advance?

Hi samlogani..i see u have the same story as mine.. i submitted my application in nov 2011..A.O.R 8th march 2012, medicals 20 may 2012, got married in canada and notified cic on 30th july 2012, my wife is on spouse work permit as well, sent my wife papers with medical (meds without their request) on 11th nov 2012, paid rprf, personal history and my wifes PPC on 26th march 2013... siince then nothing.. i would suggest u to pay RPRF for ur wife as well even if they din't ask for it cz it dosent have any drawback..it would just speed up the process.. and if ur wife is in canada over 6 months u shud send her PPC as well cz eventually they gonna ask for it.. Hope it helps :)

My PNP officer told me if you change the marital status, your PR will delay at least 6 months.
Thats why I havent married yet! Thats why I am soooooooo frustrated!

Congrats buddy.

Did u have to cross the US Border to come back to the Canadian Post? My wife doesn't have the US Visa and its pending some clearance from the US Consulate?

Can you please walk me through how you did it?

Yes CBSA asked us that we have cross the border, but you don't need visa for border crossing. When you are at US customs just tell them you want to do landing in Canada for permanent residence, they will give you the paper work and you will return to Canada border.

I emailed cpp ottawa this morning just to followup my PR application. They replied "Your file is currently pending an officer's final decision". I replied again and asked if my dependent's 2nd medical result has been received already. They replied "Yes it has been for all family members". Is it a good sign? How long it will take to get PPR?

When did your dependent do their 2nd medical? CIC contacted me Feb.12 for some more docs and requested my 2 dependents back in my home country to redo medicals, which they did on Mar.5 but the clinic they went to is like CIC "so slow". They sent medical results after 6 weeks. Like most of us nobody knows when they will contact again.
I'll try emailing CIC just like you did, i hope they get back to me with positive results.

They did their medical feb. 01,2013 but the clinic forwarded the medical result feb21,2013 to medical section. I guess 2 months from the time the clinic forwarded the result before the medical result will be attached to your file. What do u think of that emails or replies from ottawa is it a good sign?

3 weeks that was fast, yes i think 2-3 months is their normal timeline even w/ PCC. You are lucky they replied so quick on your emails. i would say it is a good sign. I hope we get the magic email soon!

Alright my friends, after 22 months, i got ppr today, thanks god, i almost started crying when i saw the e-mail, such a great feeling, here's my timeline
