BUFFALO APPLICANTS - File transferred to other VO due to Buffalo closing down

One of my friend who was a July 2011 applicant called CIC on Monday as he did not receive any updates from CPP-O by Feb 28. They told him that they will call him back again and on Tuesday he received a call from CIC that all checks r complete only wife's medicals have been sent to the medical board for extension. They told him that he will receive an update in next 10 days time but last nite he received PPR.

Please, no offense to anyone but this forum was or is meant for people who had their original application submitted to buffalo and got transferred to Ottawa or other centers. You are free to post experiences of people who are in similar limbo or this frustrating journey if i may say.
Please if you have no meaningful contribution to say in this struggle we have found ourselves, please do not share timelines and or act to be in difficulty when u truly do not understand what it means.
I am no way jealous of your quick progresses on your application but, a post like the last one from "bha" is just annoying cos u are a may 2012 and still within a very reasonable timeline. Do not make us here feel worse than we already look.

I guess everyone before July 2012 is counted as Buffalo applicants....what would you say abt applicants who had applied in Oct/Nov 2012 got PPR.....We want to know what have you done or your contribution to this struggle........It's public thread not private....BHA is May applicant that also comes under Buffalo applicants.....

Oh well. Trust me I understand your frustration completely. But we are all 'Buffalo Transferred Applicants'. At least I'm. I had ordered my GCMS notes and it clearly says my paper file was transferred Buffalo and then back to CIO! and then back to Ottawa on Sep 11, 2012!!!!! So you know. Bha is also right to feel frustrated, particularly after seeing the Nov 2012 applicants getting PPR. It certainly won't make your case any better, but it won't make it worse, 'coz it's already the worst!

And how about those who ask about the timeline for getting passport back from Ottawa? And how about those who after getting PPR have the audacity to tell us that we should get PPR because we deserve it. I mean really somebody has to remind us how deserving we're! LOL. Take it easy buddy. We all get one day, 'coz we deserve it!!!!!!!!

I encourage everybody in this forum to be patient. I applied for federal in Dec. 2010 and it has been 27 months of unending wait because I didn't have any officers assigned to me, at least that's what I have figured out. I am frustrated at CIC very much may be more than all of you.
It is pointless to expect a conservative government to please potential immigrants. That is why they are called conservatives.
I encourage everybody to contact CIC and your MPs to inquire about processing of your application. I do this myself. This will help to encourage CIC to finish us sooner rather than later. That's about all we can do.

All principal applicants who submitted applications before this date should have received a communication from the Case Processing Pilot – Ottawa (CPP-O) office. If you have not received any instructions or updates from CPP-O and you fall within this group, please contact the Call Centre at 1-888-242-2100 with your name and file number (if known).

Yes, of course I have contacted CIC on many occasions. The fact is that after closure of Buffalo and transfer of our files to Ottawa the order of applications got mixed up. To Ottawa I that applied in Dec. 2010 has the same priority as that of a person who applied in Sept. 2011. That is 9 months right there. According to my GCMS notes my application was stalled from Feb. 2012 to Feb. 2013. that is what I have figured. It has just been after Feb. 2013 that CIC initiated my security and criminality checks that I don't know when it will finish. For sure I will have to redo the medical exam. I'll be lucky if I am done with CIC by the end of summer.

Why do we use this forums in beating down ourselves all the time?
we are supposed to be uplifiting one another and seeking a advices
from each others...are you guys not tired from the "waiting game"?

where are you guys getting the strength to beatdown each others

I agree with you dui, its like there was a line up in which we were standing behind buffalo applicants whether applied anytime before july 2012 and then suddenly they said lets make another line of people standing behind us(who applied after july 2012) so that the original backlog should not accumulate, now we are looking at the pre sept 2011 applicants to get processed asap because we are behind them.
This new line up could have been started post 2011 applicants then we could say that we have nothing to do with buffalo applicants

when did you paid the landed fee??

i paid the fee on February 28, 2013 and send all other requested paper (RCMP clearance, finger print ) on march 01 . 2013.
