BUFFALO APPLICANTS - File transferred to other VO due to Buffalo closing down

Since CIC failed to provide all pre-Set. 2011 applicants with an update about the progress of their applications I have legitimate reasons to seriously doubt if we are going to be done with CIC by end of summer as originally promised by CIC.

I am still waiting with u, still no update, but i don't think there is a lot of us left, hopefully they will provide us with some kind of update next week., and just to let u know a friend of mine who had a similar timeline like urs got the ppr this week. Stay positive.

I finally received an update from my beloved MP. An officer is finally assigned to me. My officer is waiting for my background check (security and criminality) results. May be that is why CIC asked for my CV back in Feb. I don't know known when my background checks are initiated and if a through background check is required in my case. I have been waiting for almost 27 f** months....

I am 2011 june applicant. still I didnt receive any update from CIC.
As per their website they said that i should be getting some update by the end of the Feb 2013.
are there any other applicant in this website who are in same boat like me and still waiting.

any advises what shall I do now?

Well I don't think its a matter of which country you belong to rather its negligence on CIC's part.

I have seen ppl from your country getting PPR in reasonable amount of time.

Well I read somewhere security checks on average take not more than 4 months but they may take

longer in some cases.

I'm 26 months, a year ago we were asked to pay the fees for PR and we thought that was it and then not a word at all from any of them...

thanks man. I will be lucky if I am done with CIC by the end of summer keeping in mind that I may have to redo the medical exam. I think no progress was made on my application from Feb. 2012 to Feb. 2013 because CIC did not have enough officers to work on my file. bad luck!

Because they said they will review, but not the finish. Maybe that's a good sign - if they reviewed and didn't ask for anything extra.
Now when they decide to finish us they will,but no one know when... :'(

I applied in feb 2011, and i still haven't got any update from CIC yet.
