just to share to everyone.. i got my passport request today.... around 6:07 pm. i filed my pr application last may 2011... it was a very long-waiting period... hopefully, everyone gets the same good news too!

sharuu, finally i got my PPr! yahooo!

Congrats! I'm a June 2011 applicant but CPP-O requested some additional documents.

Congrats to people getting their PPR!

Can someone please advise me what are the exact requirements for the photos. I am thinking of getting them done before getting the PPR, so that I send the passport on the same day as request. One more day can make a difference, you never know :)

Thanks!

Has anyone with the PPR received his/her passport from Ottawa recently?

I haven't seen any passport coming back during the February rush. I was asked to send my passport to CPP-O instead of a visa office in the US, and need to know when it's coming back. Any information helps! :)

Cheers!
I have sent my passport to Ottawa on the 12th of Feb, haven't got it back yet and my return envelope isn't in the Canada post's system yet. It hasn't been even 2 weeks yet. I heard from the people on this forum that it used to take about 2 weeks to get it back from the consulates in the US, so I have my fingers crossed!

Hi I sent my passport yesterday and It reached Ottawa's office this morning...
and I see My e-case status changed to decision made...looks like yesterday or today
earlier state was " application received" almost for 2 years...

We received your application for permanent residence on May 2, 2011.

We started processing your application on February 18, 2013.

Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision

Thanks guys..

A Question for people who got PPR recently.

1. Were you all getting trouble accessing e-case
2. Were you asked for re-medical

Thanks.

Yes...most of the people who had trouble accessing the e-cas were got some kind of updates.
and most of them were QSW applicants who are applied pre Nov -2011.

who ever done medicals earlier Nov-2011 and they got re-do of medical requests...and I guess with in few weeks they get PPR.

as I did my medicals in 2012 Nov and I was told to submit personal history since 2011 and with in two weeks got PPR...

When sending additional documents, do guys just reply to the original email or you compose a new email?

Always reply without changing the subject line....and do not delete any content from the earlier e-mail...

If they are expired today that means you did your medical in 2012 in that case it will likely be extended.

Nope according to something else they last 15 months!

that 15 months means, the medicals can be extended within 15months of medical exam date.

Wait for a couple more days...They sent me medical request the next day after they sent me the first emal, some say they received it after a couple of days.

Thanks for sharing your experience.

"used to take about 2 weeks to get it back from the consulates in the US".
That's the thing! I hope it's not going to take ridiculously long in Ottawa. I sent mine on Feb 6, and nothing has happened yet. Maybe I'm just whining, but people need their passports to travel!
