Hey Guys, I have been away from this forum for about 3weeks now. I imagine a lot have happened.

I am yet to go through what has happened within, but I have a quick question. Has anyone who is pre-September 2011
who did his/her medical in 2011 been asked by CPP-O to re-do the medicals?
I got a mail from Ottawa stating "Due to the closure of the Regional Program Centre (RPC) in Buffalo, your file has been transferred to the Case Processing Pilot Office in Ottawa, Ontario (hereafter referred to by the acronynm “CPP-O”). Henceforth, you must now address all enquiries and correspondence to the CPP-O office, unless directed otherwise.
We apologize for the delay in processing your application that has resulted from the closure of the RPC in Buffalo. It is unfortunate that the medical examination that you underwent last year will have to be re-done, as the results of that examination have expired and cannot be extended."

I did my medicals in Oct. 2011 and not last year and have been in Canada since then till last 3 weeks. My spouse did her medicals in Jan. 2012(last year). Could it be this medical request is for my spouse?
Also, my e-cas status has gone into "In Process", but the "Medicals received" has disappeared.
I am highly confuse.

Got a similar request last week. Within a day, they asked to redo the medicals again for myself and my wife. We did our medicals in Oct 2011. If your spouse did her medical in Jan 2012, they probably aren't going ask another one. Wait a couple more days.

I got an email about medical just like yours on the first day, second day got another email about medical again not for me but for my children back in my home country.
If you did not receive a form for medical maybe they don't require you to re-do it.

Thanks for the reply. They attached a form in the email, Not a hard copy form like the first medical I did. I hope they don't ask my spouse to redo it.
I will do the medicals as soon as I can!!

It's very discouraging. I'm not sure what to do. We could do our medicals now. They will probably put our cases on hold until the chest x-ray is taken. But then there is no guarantee that it will be finalized before the 2nd medicals would expire. By that time, they will most likely ask another police certificates because it's only good for three months.

When I was on the phone to the immigration call centre, I told her that if I did my medical again, they would put my application on hold and wait for my wife's one. I would be worried that my medical would then expire again and I would be made to redo them yet again. She told me to do my medical now as there was no reason I couldn't complete my one and submit that.

I think police certificates are valid for 12 months.
