Haha I still don't deserve to be a celebrity.. Lets wait till we confirm these deadlines first..
I don't know how to post my timeline so I will put it here:

Application sent: July 2011
Meds done: Nov 2011
Status on Ecas: Application Received ( They have also received my meds in Nov 2011)

Here is our timeline :

PR application sent to Buffalo in September 2009
Office started processing it in January 2010
Medical done shortly after that in March 2010 as well as the last fee paid at the same time

Since then our file was under "background check"; that is all they would say (MP contacted, as well as other immigration offices)

Just got and email form Ottawa last week on January 8th that our case was finalized and that we have to update our medical;

2nd medical done on January 12th 2013

STAY TUNED... hopefully our case was the only one that took so long

WOW. I really hope that the table is true and for ONCE they can keep their word, anyway I applied in Feb 2011, So according to the table I should get something within the next 6 weeks.

I can only hope that they are honest this time, because they said I should only wait 120 days for a decision back in August 2011.

Honesty and Transparency are some things that the immigration process is not known off in Canada. But we can only hope that they can be honest this time.

I just want to share this with you as I have been reading this forum for sometime now. I applied in July 2011 and my case is still in the "application received" phase. I got this information from CPP Ottawa yesterday.

Application Received Review Date* By what date will you expect to receive next update from CPP

before 1 Sept 2011 On or Before 28 Feb 2013 By 28 Feb 2013
1 Sept - 30 Nov 2011 On or Before 31 March 2013 By 31 March 2013
1 Dec 2011 - 28 Feb 2012 On or Before 31 May 2013 By 31 May 2013
1 March - 31 May 2012 On or Before 31 August 2013 By 31 August 2013
after 1 June 2012 After 31 August 2013 After August 2013

*Review Date: Please note that the Review Date means the date by which your file will be reviewed by

an officer. It does not mean that your file will necessarily be finalized by that date.

I have never seen this kinda timeline, if they can send in email why can't they post it online. Moreover why only 1 applicant received this kinda reply. I m confused

I just received mu GCMS today. And I am confused as it says the secondary office is now Detroit and primary is Ottawa. My file was also transferred from buffalo to ottawa in july 2011.
Any help would be highly appreciated. thanks

QSW-111 might be right............. Here is the mail that was sent to me from Ottawa.


As your file was received by CIC before December 2011, it will be reviewed within the next 120 days.

An officer will be reviewing your file and will be in contact with you regarding any outstanding requirements.

We cannot say with certainty that your file will be finalized by the end of March 2013, but our standard is to have 80% of cases in your category finalized by that date.

I appreciate being advised of your concerns.

According to my GCMS;
Eligibility: Passed
Security : (Empty)
Criminality: Passed
Medical: Passed - Expired
Other Reqs: Not Started ( I dont know what this other request means??)

And it says s.15(1) and s.16(1)(c) on some pages. I dont know whats going on with my file and when should I expect my PR. Need Help from seniors pls.

No need to worry my friend. Secondary VO means that when you case is finalized a passport request wud be sent to you which will instruct you to send your documents to the Detroit VO.

Thanks newbie1982 for your reply. But I am also wondering what they mean by other reqs which is not been started yet. I am also worried about s.15(1) and s.16(1)(c) as it is written on few pages. And I googled it is some kind of Law enforcement.
