Just got my first GCMS notes.
Criminality Passed
Eligibility Passed
Medical Passed and extended
all those updates were back in august 2011

Security check is blank although there is some updates entry on it on other pages.
The due date of my application was on November 30 2012
The application is currently assigned to no one (Left blank)
I don't know when my file got transferred to Ottawa although i think it is May 16 2012 but I am not sure

Any advise guys, or is there any field that I should check on the GCMS notes. and what about the due date being passed and no one is assigned to the file
I think you should do something to trigger them to look and review your file. Any idea guys ?

I still believe that CPP-Ottawa is giving a lower priority to the transferred applications and I have a reason for that. The timeline for QSW applications submitted to Ottawa is 9 months. It has been 6 months since transfer of my immigration file and no officer, not one, has worked on my file, ever since. There are many people with the same problem. I suspect Ottawa is giving a fraction of its capacity to deal with transferred applications which are as many as 10000. Ottawa claims that most transferred applications will be finalized by Sept. 2013. From July 2012 to Sept. 2013 is 14 months; We have to wait 5 months more than regular folks whose files were not transferred from Buffalo. Ottawa is just giving us a lower priority Pal!

I agree with nima514. It's like we're sitting on the tarmac on a delayed flight, but we keep getting bumped for takeoff because flights scheduled for later departure can still contribute to better 'on-time' statistics, and make the airport (CIC), and its administration, look less dysfunctional. The flight we're on is so late already that it will be considered 'super delayed' whether they let us take off now or in 5 months. So processing our transferred applications at this point does nothing to improve the statistics of CPP-O's '9 month' processing time for 80% of the applications -- it just takes resources away from processing applications that have a chance of being completed in 9 months.

In fact, since the Buffalo visa office that we sent our applications to is closed (and conveniently no longer displayed in the 'processing time' statistics), and our applications were 'transferred' to CPP-O, not 'submitted' to CPP-O, I doubt the processing time for our applications is included under ANY visa office statistics (including CPP-O), further reducing the incentive to do anything with them.

I just hope we keep seeing PPRs for our group, and that we get processed before March, when they open the floodgates back up to all FSW applications.

Hello,

I just want to share this with you as I have been reading this forum for sometime now. I applied in July 2011 and my case is still in the "application received" phase. I got this information from CPP Ottawa yesterday.

Application Received Review Date* By what date will you expect to receive next update from CPP

before 1 Sept 2011 On or Before 28 Feb 2013 By 28 Feb 2013
1 Sept - 30 Nov 2011 On or Before 31 March 2013 By 31 March 2013
1 Dec 2011 - 28 Feb 2012 On or Before 31 May 2013 By 31 May 2013
1 March - 31 May 2012 On or Before 31 August 2013 By 31 August 2013
after 1 June 2012 After 31 August 2013 After August 2013

*Review Date: Please note that the Review Date means the date by which your file will be reviewed by

an officer. It does not mean that your file will necessarily be finalized by that date.

Thanks for sharing this info, at least they have some kind of timeline....
Did you get this information from an email they sent to you?

Sounds a useful piece of information. Thanks for sharing.
My only concern is will they follow this their schedule?

Hello QSW-111

Thanks

Sharing information like this is one of the things that makes this forum such a great resource -- thanks QSW-111 for posting this. If only CIC would share this more openly, it would make this process so much clearer.

I'm hoping that 'review date' = 'assigned to an officer'. For applicants fortunate enough for that date to be within 15 months of the completion of their medical exam, the officer will have an opportunity to extend the results, as specified by Operational Bulletin 423. For the rest, it looks like we'll be sent back for a repeat medical exam.

Hi Guys,

I applied to Buffalo through AINP and my file was received on 29th Nov 2011. Since the Buffalo office was closed, my file was transferred to Ottawa CPP. I checked the status of my application and it says file received on 29th Nov, processing started on 11th May 2012 and Medical results have been received. Any of you are in the same situation as me? When do I expect to hear back from them?

Welcome to the forum -- your situation matches the majority of the rest of use here (although the dates differ between cases) and some don't even show 'in process' yet.

Based on QSW-111's post above, you should receive a status update by March 31st, 2013.

If you haven't already, you may want to apply for your GCMS notes as it will provide additional detail about your application status.

Its a pleasure guys. I really got so much useful information from this Forum so thanks to all of you.

I am sorry I couldn't reply to all the personal messages that I received I think its because I am a new member. I will share all the information that I know in here.

I applied as a QSW so I really don't know if this timeline is for all transferred applicants or just quebec skilled workers transferred applicants. In addition, it didnt specify whether this is for people who already have their medicals done or not.

I mentioned in the email that my medicals have expired and the reply was that they will only ask a very small number of people to redo their medicals and that I shouldn't worry about that.
I hope you find this useful :)

Thanks again QSW-111. I would guess that timeline applies generally to PNP (and possibly also CEC) applicants. Also great to hear that only a small number of medical redos will be required. It's amazing the variability in responses we get from CIC from our email inquiries, ranging from no response to one like yours that had lots of new information I had not seen before. Thanks for sharing.
