too simple u have to inform every single thing to cic but dont expect cic to inform u anything abt your file, jst keep your mouth shut, either wait and wait else just leave if u dont want it.....

Hi Guys,

Thanks for taking your time in reading this.

I am BC PNP Applicant. My application was received by Federal CIC in March 2012. I am planning on having religious marriage with my fiance next week in Bangladesh, but my fiance does not want to have paper marriage at this time. She wants have a pilot relation for 2 years and then if things go well we will have official documented paper marriage. So for the next two years we will be in a relation without getting officially married.

My question is that next week when I have religious marriage ceremony do I have to inform CIC of my relationship status change ? regarding my in process PNP Application in Ottawa. Technically without having paper marriage I am still a single....as we are not going to have official documented marriage until next two years.





My fiance in in Bangladesh and Bangladeshi citizen.

in order for u to add her in ur immigration, u need proof of marriage, official document recognized by your government, in ur case u don't have such papers, sice u can't prove it, u are still single until u are legally married. my advice to u don't complicate things for ur self, stay single until u get ur ppr, once u get ppr, u can officially decalre ur marriage and bring her, within 2 years her ppr should come through and u should be together happily ever after.

I filed my application in Dec. 2010 and every day I see people that applied one year after me land and yet, there is no news about my PPR. I believe it's bad luck that makes me see the dark side of CIC. Lots of applicants are happy with CIC because their applications went through fast at our cost.
By the way, why don't you put your timeline under your username.

Dont worry abt the ECAS status . Most of the times it is not updated.
I have seen ppl getting PPR and PR visas and their ECAS status does
not change. The best way to find out about your file is through GCMS
notes.

Yes do not rely on ECAS status , they are very slow in changing it . but the problem is that is the only way we can know our file status .. Atleast they could keep that updated so that no one emails them @ file status

There is nothing specific timeline .. If it just changed In process no one knows how long your processed had begun before they actually changed the status . Also you might hear from them if they need more information . Again it depends on weather your medicals are done or no

Our medical done already... they ask some information too, but does it mean they checked our security background already? i havent get GCMC notes yet.
