Hows everything there? I heard about the thunderstorm, eh. Hope all is well :)
I live in down south. Sandy hit the eastern coast. It appears to be pretty bad though.

Hey folks,

My case was transferred on May 16 too, but haven't heard anything from them, even though my MP inquired about my case 4 weeks ago.

I read earlier in this thread that "IT IS GOING TO TAKE 12 FREAKING MONTHS" from the transfer date to process our cases. Where did you guys hear this from and how reliable the source is? I feel like if I withdraw my application today and apply for CEC, I'll get my PR sooner.

Cheers

I'm thinking about the same thing... But I heard that we can apply to CEC when PNP is hanging. Whichever comes first we can get PR. But I'm not sure if it's true...

if at this stage where we are waiting for passport requests, if we plan to go back home and come back , is there any document we have to submit them or not?

will it delay the process even if we dont have to submit the document?

thanks

You can wait wherever you want.
It does not affect your application as long as it does not affect your application condition.

So if you are not required to stay, you can leave, and come back for landing.

Usually, all criteria, should be valid at the time of applying, not after.
Except health, which they acquire from Health Canada for further information (not a big deal if you are alright)

hi

dont you think that we have to re submit them new police clearance certificate once we cross their borders as in the application we do mention the number of times we have visited canada.......

What did you ask Ottawa about? GCMS or the status of your application?

I asked about the status of my application. In the mail I sent my information, my file number, date of birth, client id etc. But when they replied they put a different number as my file number. I checked my first GCMS note and that number is in there as my paper file 1 and the office is buffalo. That's why I'm guessing someone or something must have looked into my file to relate the file number I provided and the number that is in my GCMS notes.

I am filling the access to information and personal info req form. Under section B what should i fill in the location box? Also should i select Immigration file in Canada - PR?

congrats jjblue :)

A late update...

I got PPR on Oct., 2,2012. My passport is now on the way back.

My documents transferred to Ottawa on 5/16.

It had been a long wait... GCMS notes were very helpful. Thanks for Sharuu's suggestion. Also, from my experience, CPP response my email request in about 3 weeks...

Best wishes for you all.

hi tank_boy

what are you planning to do now as your timeline explains that ur medicals are expired? what are you going to do now?

Thanks, tank_boy.
I am not able to send personal message for your questions. So I just briefly answer here.

Bascially, I had no change with my initial application. Did not go back to my home country, did not add additional family memeber. It was pretty straightforward.
I sent my application to Buffalo back in Feb. 2011.
Hope this helps.

No specific name shown in the email... I am a Feb. 2011 applicant... Hope this helps.

So no PPRs today as well. :( Another wasted Tuesday for CPP-O. 2020 would be a safe and reasonable time frame to expect anything. :o

Congrats jjblue for your PPR!

I had one question for you... when did you do your medicals? were they still valid when they sent you the email for PPR?

thanks jjblue.Where are you from originally?Just wanted to understand if the delay in background checks is relative to the country of origin in some way.
