Did you apply for GCMS, you will know extact date of BG checks from notes. You should apply for that. My case went in process on October 2011, they requested some document and i provided them in November. Then nothing up unti May, when i contacted Buffalo they said my file was suppose to go on BG checks but BG checks never started and she told mr, my file will be transfered to Ottawa for BG checks. Then we all know Buffalo got closed and my file was tranfered to Ottawa on May 16th and Ottawa started working on my file on July 9th, 2012. That means they started my BG checks on 9th of July and my file was sitting on their desks between the period of November 2011 and June 2012...

I believe samething had happend on your file too, BG checks from states is very fast maximum a month nad minimum a week.

my be my tunisian background checks are taking forever, concerning the situation there, it might take longer that the states took.
i will for gcms by november first, am gonna give it another 4 weeks may be something will happen during this time.

How is your medicals expired? It hasnt been 1 year since you did it? If they did review your file on 16th september, they would have given an extension on medical and another due date. When were your notes printed off and the last updated date?

I did my Medicals (April 14, 2011) before applying. My notes were printed on 09/13/2012. Last updated date: 2012/07/07. I believe that's the date they transferred my file from Buffalo to CPP Ottawa.

Yes, so it means file hasnt been evaluated in Ottawa yet. Is eligibility passed yet? Sep 16th, shouldnt mean much to be quite honest and if they did extend your medicals, that means another due date would have been given. Usually due dates are 2 months apart so November is a good time to expect something.. If you want you can get another GCMS around that timeframe.

People have started getting PPR, so I dont think you should be that far!

My due date was July 1st when I first received it and it was just after it got transferred to Ottawa.. I honestly think it shouldnt be much longer. They have got the ball rolling and we shall hopefull see a lot of PPR coming through in next couple of months..

anyone know when the police certificate expires.. ours must be expired by now and they havent asked for new ones. Should we just go ahead and get the new ones or wait for the request.. Im afraid if we wait it will prolong this even more.. late january til now is plenty long ehough.. we just want this over.

I really dont understand why applicants who filed a few months after us are getting PPR and also from LA office. ???
And on the otherhand appicants from middle of 2011 are still waiting..
BTW- are they actually in LA bcuz i read on other forums that they stay in Ottawa until the very very end.. wondering if thats true :-\

Hi Folks,

I would like to get some expert advice from u all. I have applied for the Canadian PR in Fed Skill Cat on Oct 2010. My application status has been the same ever since. I have recently completed my medical formality on Aug 1st and have confirmed with the doc twice for mailing the documents asap. Yet the online application status shows and displays the same.

Where do i go from here?
