Called call centre this morning and didn't get any useful info other than files are in transit to Buffalo.

So wait til I get another GCMS or contact MP.

Hey buddy.. just found out my file was received at Ottawa early July, been a month now! I wonder how much longer it will take, already at 17 months!

Me too, bro. We have the same timeline. Ottawa has my file since June, and they told me they are still processing it.

Hello, I applied to Buffalo in April 2012 and my file was transfered directly to Ottawa, my eCas shows Medicals Received since 1st July.

I noticed last week that my eCas shows my newer address in Quebec in two columns: Home address and mailing address.

Is it just because I requested an address change at the end of June (I moved to a different appartment) or is it due to my file progressing and can expect Passport request soon ?

How long do you think it might take now? 1 month has already passed! When did you do your medicals?

It is because you requested address change and they updated it. You will hear something from them by early September.

I never submitted the address change request, still I can see my mailing and the home address in 2 columns since last week in the ECAS..

But you said in your post, you submitted the updated address. My address did appear in two columns when I requested change of address. It's part of process nothing more than that.

Oh! That was Mastergeek who sent a request for the address change and after that he got his address in 2 columns..
I wanted to clarify why that happened in my case while I did not request any change of address... Does that represent the file processing or a routine site update while my status is still Application received and med. received??

I did my Medical Oct.2011 and they said they started process my case on May.27 2012. 2 months has passed I am still waiting. I sent a email to them last month. They said they are doing background verification and will contact me if they need something....

Hi,

I am Feb. 2011 applicant.

I got an email from CPPasking for "copy of regular passport" for myself and spouse. They did not ask for RPRF nor photos.

Is this normal? I am a little lost...

I have sent the scanned copy of passport pages to them and asked them if those are acceptable or I need to send the physical copies or original documents. But I haven't got back from them...

What should I do now?
