BUFFALO APPLICANTS - File transferred to other VO due to Buffalo closing down

Hi,I'm new here.I want to share my time line.
I applied at April 14, 2012.
Medical done at Sep 22.
my ecas is still application and medical received.

yes,it only disappear end of january.
not in process and address hasn't disappear since january bothered me.
I am going to hit 14months mark soon

So your address disappeared in January and came back today? I have the same situation and I am at the 15 month mark. I think either calling CIC Call Center or ordering GCMS Notes would give a clearer picture!

Oh.. My address disappeared end of January and came came back today. I am pretty sure most of our files have been transferred to Ottawa!

In our case, Buffalo was handling our designated VO then it got transferred to Ottawa. However, ppr was requested by Seattle VO. :-X

When was your file transferred to Ottawa? My address re appeared on ECAS but it seems a lot of applicants had their addresses shown back. Dont know if that really is a sign?

I think it was around Nov 2011. That was the time when the VO requested for our medicals.

It's been a month since we submitted our passports and to date, according to my husband it hasn't been returned yet.

My ECAS just went IN PROCESS I hope it does not take another 5 months now! It has already been 15 months..

I believe IN PROCESS means that all the paperwork is complete, just waiting for them to issue PPR?

no
it means nothing, my case was in process for 6 years with nothing done on it, until I cancelled it last week.

It seems like files are being transferred to Ottawa but Detroit is the one stamping the visa. If that is true is it better to contact Ottawa or Detroit?

Ours is for stamping already. In our ecas, however, the last update is still medical received.
