BUFFALO APPLICANTS - File transferred to other VO due to Buffalo closing down

hi guys, i have same situation. its been more than 14 months since i applied for pr at buffalo. my status is still like medicals received. but buffalo office is closed. they transferred file to seattle office. i put email to ottawa office. they replied me like your file is at seattle. one of my frnd called cic call centre number, they told him the location of his file right now. everybody please update the this thread.

My file is in Buffalo as well, but now I dont know where my file is? The call center can tell the location of the file? I will try calling them to atleast find the location of my file. I saw someone got PPR from Buffalo but was asked to send the PP to Detroit for stamping ..

Just wanna share my timeline..What will happen next? Kinda worried because of Buffalo's Closure..

To all buffalo applicants are applicatios have been transferred in detroit..

Just got a reply to my inquiry from Buffalo. PPR issued might be at Buffalo if they still have your file but to get stamped it needs to be sent to Detroit. All other files have been transferred to Ottawa and they said that another 60 days wait should be done for additional information...

30 days make sense.. They might issue ppr's to remaining applicants and then transfer to other consulates for stamping!

Transfers I believe have already happened to Ottawa. The ones which are remaining and get PPR from Buffalo shall be sending their Passports to Detroit. Happened to a guy here who got PPR yesterday!

anyone tried calling cic call centre for the location of their pr application? or anyone sent an email inquiry to ottawa?

I think its a good idea to call the call centre to ask about its whereabouts.. We should try contacting them. If we even know its in Ottawa and when it went there it could give us all a certain guideline.

I think thats what it means, they have all your paperwork and can now proceed with actual processing your file

With not knowing when the file transfer happened we can not tell how many days has Ottawa had our files. CIC Call Center might be able to help... On a good scenario, i would assume we should get PPR within June but it shouldnt take any longer than July!!!

Mine is still missing!! I guess u r goin to get ppr soon as this I read sask28's address also came back jus before ppr!

I read a lot of people's address came back. I wonder if this is because my file might have just gotten transferred to Ottawa! I dont know how long Ottawa takes but it seems another 2 months wait

I emailed ottawa on May 29th. but no response yet .

I dont think Ottawa will respond to any queries, just like us there will be SO MANY applicants emailing them about their files...
