Sorry for my red ink, I hope it doesnt mean anything bad to you. Besides, I use it to make it eligible to read for others. Back to our
discussion. Weather you submitted your application to Sydney or Buffalo, it doesn't really matter....There are people in this forum that have submitted since 2010, and haven't been called for interview and also some haven't received MR yet...are u "French in Line" candidate?

starting from the end of 2011, buffalo didn't directly accept new applications for PR, instead, cic set up a new inland central office, sydney, so the sydney office was new, no backlog, no nothing! and those ppl submitted their applications to sydney for sure got their cases processed right away. that's y. but i guess for us it means nothing, since we already submitted in 2011, to buffalo. all we can do is to wait.

for those 2010 applicants, they got delayed cuz of the backlog, especially if u go cic website to see statistics, u would find that in 2010, there were tons of ppl submitted their files (highest in recent 10 years).

It has been 9 months since i did my medical exam and it has been nearly 1 month since they started processing my file. Buffalo usually takes 1 week once it goes into process but no word from them yet!

Hello, Maybe he submitted is medicals in Feb.2012....Because it CAN NEVER be possible for him to submit Federal part by that time and be getting PPR, even though it has code 130: Piriority Treatment...
So try to understand the process please

i do have that code but i m still waiting for updates after medicals. as for as hookyplayer told its correct there are applicants who submitted the files in january 2012 and landed in mid May....you can check the tracking sheet in PnP-transferred to ns topic...Karlz is the person who got it after submitting it in january...

Thank you for your clarification,
1) Does that means there is Piriority treatment at the Federal stage?
2) How long did you take to get your MR after your check/money was cashed?

What you have just confirmed is a case of PNP and NOT QSW, these are two different immigration pathways, and I have been trying to explain it to the other forum memebers

To put it clearly

1. Priority treatment and person getting pr early are not to be confused together.
2. Priority treatment means qc gov requesting fed to consider but depends on the individual case if the person traveled to many countries even if they consider priority it will take time to do background so we can really say they do or don't consider
3. We all know PNP and QSW are different. The thread name alone is PNP file transferred ....but the person Karlzw is QSW nominee... Me and Karlzw submitted the application with 1 day difference he was before me...

As far my timeline is considered file received on jan 5th encased both applicatn fee and rrpf on25th jan aor and mr on feb 1 or 2nd. As hooky player mentioned with introduction of nova scotia and Ottawa applicants post November 2011 get response faster... My visa office is buffalo as mentioned in aor but the file I still in Ottawa.

As per cic website it clearly stated we will not intimate applicants if file is in Ottawa...logically ur file should be in a office outside canada to issue pr visa.. But now with buffalo office closed we dono what's the next move from cic they might even issue pr visa inside Canada and ask applicants to flagpole us border and enter Canada....or send it other office in USA like Detroit,la,Seattle....

But the point hooky player trying to put forth is the process is getting changed and more electronically recorded data is used than the paper file with intro of new GcMS...precisely govt wanted to reduce the time at the federal level for PNp and QSW nominees..

Has anyone contacted the Detroit office lately? It seems even though the file might have been transferred to Ottawa the visa stamping will be done by detroit.
