Pilot Project to Print Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR) by the Case Processing Pilot-Ottawa (CPP-O)

Just saw this update on the CIC website and i deem it fit to share it with you,

Effective November 27, 2012, CPP-O will begin to print CoPR documents and permanent resident visa counterfoils (if required) for applications processed to finalization in that office.

CPP-O will appear as the issuing office on the documents.
The documents will be mailed to clients from Ottawa to addresses primarily within North America.

I guess this should reduce the processing time for In-Canada applicant by 1-2months........................Hopefully.

All this is saying that you wouldnt need to send your passports to detroit anymore and Ottawa would be doing the stamping! It has nothing to do with the processing times, so it shouldnt impact that.
