My medical will be expiring on 18th of July, i have already extended my work permit which was expiring on May 26th. When did you do your medical by the way..

Have you contacted Ottawa lately for any updates? What about contacting your MP and GCMS Notes? You are nearing 19 months...

My file is waiting for to be reviewed... i asked MPs office today for the update.. lets see

I guess you guys can count me in too.. I have submitted my application may 2011 states on ecas that my application was recieved june 29,2011 AOR was sometime in october along with the MR.. medicals done Novermber 7, 2011 and still nothing.. ecas shows application recieved and medicals recieved.. and that's it.
I remember, i sent an email to buffalo last week of april but they said my application is "in process" and they don't know when exactly it's going to be completed but never really told me that my application is or will be transfered so i kinda waited..
still no PPR for me.. nothing.. work permit is good till August 2013 but i don't think i would want to wait that long..
i'm so glad that i found this forum.. that way it does give me a relief that I am not alone on this.. I also emailed ottawa yesterday but no reply.. i guess i'll just have to wait 2-3 months more..

I applied for extension online, the system asked me for PNP certificate and medical receipts and i got closed work permit.. but i wanted open work permit because the WP i had was Post Graduation WP and it was issued for two years because of my passsport expiration.. then i applied via paper with cover letter and got open work permit for one year and it took 1 month to process..

When is this closed work permit expiring?

I asked for two years, they gave me of two years... in 2014

Are you PNP Ontario applicant too?

No, I already renewed mine using the PNP certificate though... Have you applied for GCMS Notes?

Welcome to the group buddy .. I believe most files have been transferred to Ottawa but it could also be some are transferred elsewhere. I would recommend you should get your GCMS Notes which should provide more clarity on our case and where is your file currently. You are not alone and most of us here have crossed the 15 month waiting period

we have the similar time line. I have emailed Ottawa too, got a generic response here. They didn't know what my case status was. At least ur ecase status is better than mine, mine shows "application received". Even though they received my medical result last oct, but it doesnt reflect on my ecas.

I dont think all the files have been transferred to Ottawa, I believe some might have been transferred to other offices too. With the heave amount of files, I do think that some files might be in transit between two offices.

I just got my GCMS Notes... In short, if Buffalo wouldn't have closed down I would have gotten PPR much earlier. Oh Well, it say PR - FINAL REVIEW and I have been assigned a particular group also. I believe that those people in my group have all their checks completed and are only being transferred to Ottawa for issuing PPR.. I went in process in May and my file according to GCMS is still in Buffalo, but, I inquired with my MP 1 week ago and from Ottawa it was found out that it actually is in transit. It means the entire group is being transferred and that is why there is a delay in transferring. Once transferred, I think PPR is the only thing left.

I think it should be done transferring end of July, so hopefully I am expecting something between July and August. I am going to request GCMS every month to keep me updated ...

A lot of people are concerned about their statuses and it actually has notes from Visa Officer also which might help you guys in understanding if anything else is needed. It is a good idea in getting GCMS Notes!

30 days for GCMS Notes and contact your MP by searching them in your city and call them to ask if they can enquire about your case.

I have hardly seen anyone getting PPR lately and I believe the files are being transferred to Ottawa in a group. Once they get transferred we will see lots of people getting PPR all of a sudden...
