difficult to say,....seems all random to me,..but one thing is sure,...Ottawa moves,...full ahead..even if its random...

Yeah.. its asking documents issuing PPR. Hopefully we keep this coming along! I think when we see PPR for other applicants it gets us excited as we know its around the corner. I hope this continues. Nearly 21 months already..

I entered the 19th...

2010 is quite something ;D

I guess all we need here is hope on our side, luck on our side, and working on their side.

sure they are working. but they are kind of s.... by the huge work load from Buffalo.

I wonder if that was even planned, or a sudden decision.

Anyways. Oct is halved already. and not the very best october so far ! at least no snow here in Montreal

I personally like Milan Kundera very much, but here is a quote from his book, Immortality:

You are the brilliant ally of your own gravediggers.

I know it is not a fantastic one for this time of the night, but that is what came to mind right away :)

Right on Shakespeare

Hi all,

I am new to this forum.

This is our timeline:
Received Certificat de selection de quebec sometime in March 2011
Applied to CIC in January 2012
AOR + Medical Request on 27th of February 2012
Medicals done on 27th of March 2012

Our Ecas says application received. When we click on it, I have the following:

We received your application for permanent residence on January 13, 2012.

Medical results have been received.

We have sent separately our FBI police certificates as well as police certificates from our home country all together in August 2012.

Since then, we are patiently waiting for our passport request.

I believe it is talking longer than it should as our case still says application received!

Any thoughts will be very helpful

Your case has a good timeline as its been 10 months and you have received AOR and Medicals are also done. There isnt much to do than wait. Most of us here are 2011 applicants still waiting ..

Thanks Sharuu for your comforting words!

I also sent them a couple of emails after I sent the police certificates to buffalo office but the package was returned to me so I emailed them and got the following response

In response to your email below, your file has been transferred to the CPP-Ottawa office following the closure of the Buffalo office.

Due to the high volume of correspondence received, we are unable to provide a status update to you. The officer responsible for your file will contact you if any action is required from you. Please note the standard processing times for applications for permanent residence within the category in which you have applied are available on our website . In the meantime, please ensure your information is kept up-to-date, particularly if there is a change in your marital status or in the event of a birth or death in your family. You must also advise this office of any change to your contact information, such as a change in your residential or e-mail address.

And in the other email, I never got any answer back. I was inquiring if they received our police certificate!

Those immigration officers are disturbing!

What are they doing now?

You can request GCMS which should provide a bit more clarity about your case.

Is it normal that ecas still shows application received rather than in process?

Thanks!

It just means your eligibility hasnt been assessed yet.

does that mean we can still get rejected? I thought if we passed the certificat de selection and then our police certificates show now criminal record and also we passed our medical (as it is received by cpp) then we are already eligible.

Well, I will try not to think about it too much!

Thanks Sharuu

Dont get too caught up in its meaning, to me it means your checks havent either been completed or updated in the file. Once that has been done, they pass your eligibility.. Worrying doesnt help much, just relax and it should come soon! ;D
