Hi Sharuu and guys:

I referred to page 16 for info about GCMS, it wasn't inclusive and I ended up paying $5 online (whihc isn't a big deal). I live in Canada and have been waiting for PPR since submitting medicals in Sep 2011. Here are some questions I hope you could help me answer:

1) Since I paid the $5 already, is it better to go ahead with Access to Info Act? or is it better to ignore the receipt and check on Privacy Act

2)Under Electronic Files, I picked "status of application" as you suggested, what does the choice under it "Immigration File in Canada" mean? Should I be ticking that too

3)Location: Should that be Buffalo or should it be CPP-Ottawa?

4)Section C: I am requesting my info on my behalf, should I be attaching any other document that proves that I am in Canada? There is a field about ICCRC that I left blank, is that ok?

5)at the beggining of the form, it mention that I have to include a formal request, is that the form itself, or do I have to include a hand written request?

I hope this isn't much trouble thanks in advance.

BTW, what are MP's? and how can theu help us?

To all inland applicants:

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

Would have invited you guys for diner at my place, but my Turkey ran out of the cage last night!! ;) :)

1. I never paid $5 but I always put in privacy act.

2. It should not be status of application but permanent residence. Immigration file in Canada means if you are an INLAND applicant.

3. If you believe your file is in which ever visa office, put that office's name

4. If you have a representative, his number should be put over there.

5. This form is the formal request. Do include a copy of your valid work permit if you are applying from within Canada.

MP = Member of Parliament. You can ask them if they can enquire about your case if the timeline has gone beyond the normal processing times.

Wasnt your bring forward date sometime in October? If so, lets say if this week brings good news for you? When are you expecting GCMS?

Hi Sharuu, thanks for the quick reply. I seriously think that CIC should be compensating all of the helpful people in this forum haha.

So just to confirm, I am living in Canada (provincial nominee) and waiting to hear for PPR, therefore I am an in-land applicant?

point 2: I should be only picking Electronic Files > Immigration file in Canada > Permanent Residence. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks again and Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Yes to both...

I got my CSQ in Nov. 2010; filed my federal application in Dec. 2010; and I submitted my medical results in May 2011. After 22 months of waiting no PPR.
I got my GCMS notes and I realized that my criminality and security checks are not finished yet. the only good thing is that they extended my medical checks to May 2013. so I don't have to pay to do those tests again.

Yea, my 'bring forward date' according to my MP's office was Oct. 4th, but as at Friday ECAS remained 'Application Received' , Medicals received.
I am expecting my GCMS in a week's time.
Yea, I hope this month brings good news to us all(At least 2011 applicants)!!

Try putting your timeline under your username.

- I think they have started looking at July 7th transfer files, and most of us are in that batch. I dont think it should be long. I think by the end of the year most of us should have PPR!

Do update if you hear anything.. good luck! and thanks for not inviting over the turkey :D just joking!
