BUFFALO APPLICANTS - File transferred to other VO due to Buffalo closing down

Change in Ecas

From today, my ecas shows two addresses - Permenent Address and mailing address , though both are same

doesnt that mean anything positive ? does it happened to someone before?

mine changed months ago. like 3-4 months ago.
since then, there has been no news.

Double address in my opinion is just a programming issue, and does not mean anything significant.
Some people get their E-cas updated regularly, other don't.

Just saw that, it isnt the came case as ours for transferred cases but atleast someone got PPR!

just got a reply from MP on our application inquiry..

MP:
"Case Processing has not responded to our inquiry that was sent on your behalf. We have however been informed that 35,000 files were recently transferred from Buffalo to the new Case Processing office in Ottawa. At this point in time, we have been unable to obtain a timeframe for processing those applications.

The Minister is fully aware of the concerns expressed by stakeholders and applicants that it sometimes takes too long to process applications and therefore the Department continues to explore new ways to improve service which in turn leads to shortened processing times."

35,000 ,such a huge number of files waiting to process ???..

Your MP said they cant tell when they can finalise the applications however, the word is they should be completed by January 2013? Is the Jan 2013 correct then?

jan 2013 is a way much better than another more months of waiting..this is so frustrating :

our medical is expiring by nov., hoping to have a white xmas with my husband..but i think it will not happen dis year
