I have applied in Nov 9, 2010 and my file was transferred to Detroit office on April 30, 2012.

I did not see any movement since mid April.

I have few questions.

1. How long it will take to get medical request from detroit VO?

2. Can I do medical before I get medical request? Will it speed up process? If anyone has idea, What is procedure to do medical without medical request?

1. Looks like anywhere between 1 month to 5 months. 5 months is rare but still can happen as seen from updates on page 18.
2. Not sure about that. Buffalo does accept advanced medical but someone else should answer this question for you.

I am really glad to know that they have atleast moved your application to a much better VO than buffalo. Where do you live in US? Is detroit your nearest VO or do you think they are forwarding applications randomly to VOs around US.

I am really happy too. I hope all BVO applicants will get good news soon.

I have read in forum before that someone did medical before they received MR. I think they were from VO in US.

I just would like to finish my procedure soon.

We did the medicals in advance in December. Everything was fine.

Visa was dated 19 April, that means all the process took exactly 2 years and 2 months.

please see my timeline. I got transfred to Detriot on 4/27/2012. I received an email on 5/11/2012 from Dketriot told that:" Your file is in queue for review by an officer. You should receive correspondence from this office within the next 8-10 weeks." Dose anyone received this message before?
