Hi Guys,

I received the Passport on Friday last week. It took Detroit VO less than a week....They are fast....

I sent the passport on March 14, VO received on March 15, VO stamped the visa on March 20, VO mailed the passport back on March 21 and I received that on March 23. Total time, including mailing, is only 7 business days. ECAS is still saying "In Progress".

Finally everything is done. It took us 2 years 1 month and 10 days from start to end. We are planning to land in Dec at Christmas time. Hopefully it will be no hassles in Manitoba border. Please share experience if anyone has landed from North Dakota to Manitoba through Manitoba/North Dakota border.

Thank you all for all the advise/suggestions/experience share. Please feel free to ask me anything that I can help with, I will try my best.

Good Luck everyone.

Hearty Congratulations Mirpur.

I live in Iowa and I am waiting for my "Medicals" line to be added. If everything goes well, I plan to land in summer, so will share my experience.

Good luck to you.

Thanks, hopefully you will get the MR pretty soon. Let me know how your landing goes.

I know we talked earlier about going to VO for stamping in person. But I decided not to go, I did not think that would make any difference whatsoever. And I did not want to take extra hassle to Fly/Drive to Detroit. I live in MN, so it would take me some extra time and money to go to Detroit for stamping.

I sent the PP through mail. I used plain USPS (No FedEx, or UPS). Just regular US postal service with one day delivery (Express service). It cost me 36 dollars (While UPS one way is $75, I did not bother checking FedEx). It was pretty good. I got the PP back without any hiccups in 7 business days. USPS actually took 2 days while bringing PP from Detroit to MN, even though I paid for next day service. Nonetheless, I am happy everything went smooth.

Good Luck with the MR.

Mirpur,

I am glad that everything went well. I guess you saved a ton of hassles in driving \ flying to Detroit. 7 Business days is awesome and Detroit is definitely very speedy and friendly that any other VO.

I am done with my Meds and waiting for the e-Case update and my PPR. How long did it take for you to get the PPR after Medicals reached Ottawa?

Regards,
Kummy
