My lawyer send an e-mail last week to the Detroit office for an update. It took them couple of days to reply back to an e-mail inquiry which was send by my lawyer. According to the e-mail it says - "Part of the processing has expired, and we are updating it. There is nothing for you or your client to do about this. We expect it will be completed within the next couple of weeks and that "ready for visa" instructions will be sent within approximately the next three weeks."

I will inform all of you if I hear anything from Detroit. Please update the status so that we all know what's going on in the Detroit office.

Thanks, I also got a similar note last week,

"Your application is ready for finalization. Instructions will be sent to you by email within the next few weeks."

- guess we just cross our fingers and wait .. God Bless

Does anyone know what "Part of the processing has expired, and we are updating it." means? Also, is "couple of weeks" means couple of weeks or we should expect to take them longer to issue PPRs?

I received my medicals yesterday. It is dated February 9th.

Hello Guys...

hope any one of you will be able to help me out....I have applied under NOC 2151 in the FSW1 category. My file was received by CIC on 28th Nov'11 and I have received my PER on Feb 7, 2012. My visa office is Buffalo, USA. I would like to know how much time, approximately, the Buffalo VO is taking from PER to MR stage?

Regards
Sarat

My case got transferred to Detroit office. Please explain me what does that mean. Also, I see some people commenting about FBI report. In 2010 I submitted my file along with FBI finger print report. Is there any other FBI report that I need to prepare for?

Ecas status:
Your application and supporting documents were received by the Detroit office. They are pending review.
We transferred your application to the Detroit office on January 19, 2012. The Detroit office may contact you.

I have the same status update :
'We transferred your application to the Detroit office on January 19, 2012. The Detroit office may contact you. '

Hello All,

I have received ppr by email today from Detroit...it took 2 years 3 months for me...

All the best guys..

I finaly received my medical request. Documents arrived a few days ago, dated February 8. My application was transferred to Detroit on October 26th so it took well over three months. The envelope contained medical report forms, general instructions about obtaining and filing the medical reports, information about waived interview and requests for RPRF, updated FBI certificates, proof of funds and aditional updated documents regarding my employment history.
My medicals are scheduled for Feb 29. In my state of Florida, there is only one practitioner performing them and that date was the earliest i could get. It is going to cost $300 plus $75 for X rays for each applicant and aditional fee of $70 for mailing cost to Ottawa. FBI certificates should arrive next week and I am expecting updated documents from my employers soon. I will be ready to submit everything by the end of the month.

For me this is not a "done deal" yet, because of the questions regarding my complicated employment history - although I am hopefull that the updated documents will satisfy all the requirements.

I will keep you informed when I get any more updates.

For all who are stil waiting for your medical forms - be positive - you will get them and it is going to be soon.
