No, it means they have started processing it. This line when added is a positive sign that "all is well"...

Mirpur,

Congrats. I am not so sure, but I read in this forum that a few people have gone in-person to their VO for visa stamping.

Does your PPR say anything about in-person stamping ?

I will find out the thread and let you know.

Regards,
Kummy29

Thanks for the response. I highly doubt the possibility of in-person visa stamping. I do not think we can make any decision based on someone's expereience in the forum.

PPR advises for mail delivery. If there is no return address than one can submit the passport in person and pick the passport with visa after 10 business days. It also gives the time when the office is open.

So it does not say you can get the visa in same day in person.

I read it in this forum that it takes a couple of weeks.

Which means I might be getting something next week... The wait is so long, and I am sick and tried of waiting.

Same Here .. and add to my anxiety , I did not paste the return label on the pre-paid Envelope - am worried they may miss looking inside it for the return label . Having already misplaced my documents once, am not sure If ishould sent an email ensuring they got the PPTs... may be I should take a deep breath and go for a walk :-\

It is true that some visa offices in US accept in-person passport submission based on other applicants information given in this forum. One should send a CSE to the respective visa office and request them to allow you to submit the passport in-person. Only if they say YES, you can go ahead and submit it. That is what the others have done rather than walking into a visa office with PP and PPR. You can try a CSE if you wish to go for in-person stamping.

Appreciate your help buddy. Thanks. Have a great day.

Thanks for the info. I think I will send it by mail.

Congrats!

I'm also waiting for my passport to get back to me. They have it now 1.5 weeks and no joy. I even included a UPS mailing label so that it gets back to me faster but that's not been activated as yet.

HI Lanied,

Did you stick the mailing label to the envelope or left it inside ? Given how they missed some obvious includes before, am just concerned?
