Never stop? I think they stopped working on pre-626 cases for more than 2 month. We did not hear any news from Buffalo about pre-626 ever since June. They might resume one day, but they did stop for a long time...

I think they stopped too.. people who got thier AORs in May are still waiting for medicals that means it will still be a long time for us.

Heres the response from Buffalo today. This may however mean that Buffalo will be able to complete the processing of applicants from MI-1 who applied before Jan 2010:

CIC is working to closely manage arrivals in Canada, so that we meet, but do not exceed the immigration levels plan set by Parliament last fall for 2011. Since we have larger inventories than room within the immigration plan for admissions to Canada, we must stagger the review of applications throughout the year.

We do not anticipate that we will begin to process federal skilled worker applications from January 2010 during the current calendar year. If we are able to initiate processing earlier, we will contact you.

DMPs have spare forms with them using which you can do the medicals in advance. It is however not advised that you do medicals in advance. Since they were updating the system in June, I did the medicals and sent them anticipating they may speed up the process. They acknowledged the receipt via email as well.

Yes this mail I got today in response to my query to Buffalo.

yeah i know, but i dint fill out my file number in that particular section on the form which says for official use only .. so all i was wondering is if at all u put ur file number on the form and if yes, then in which section ?

Hi Guys,
After reading in the forum that pre june 2010 applicants will not be processed during the current year,i am finally thinking to submit my application under CEC class.Few queries regarding that:

1).They ask for Gen Module IELTS, what if i send Academic module as i have currently one.
2).I heard that if once your application is returned back d.t any reason you cant apply again. Is it true ?if this is the case then i may take the chance of sending Academic IELTS or not ?

Looking forward to hear from you guys.

i asked my lawyer.. no such thing of u cant reapply if its rejected once in cec category

Doesn't matter what kind , but score does

Oops. But it actually does. They had clearly specified that you MUST take General IELTS only and not Academic!

My advice, don't jinx, take IELTS General, its a one weekend day crappy test. Easy to pass. Go for it.
