As per CIC manuals, date of file transfer from CIO to VO is the lock-in date. However, when you see Buffalo processing timelines on CIC website, it says the processing timelines are from the date they receive our full application documents. So, I feel date of 2nd AOR date is insignificant.
Cheers........

What cap are you talking about? There is no cap for us. Cap is applicable only after June 26 applications.

Thnks for bfd explanation ..
If people with April /may AOR are just going into process now , the hope of us with a OCt/nov AOR going into process and getting Medical requests by may/June is slightly over optimistic .. Unless the gcms helps really speed up things .. And then theres the yearly quota of 20000 got buffalo to be mindful of ...

As rightly said by vermas and simp, looks like 2nd AOR date does not matter much. BFDs are based on file transfer date (i think).

I was seeing that usually it would be slow during the start and end of the year, so buffalo may pick up speed in coming months. (this is just hope, and hope is a good thing!)

They are staggering the visa issuance [as communicated by many applicants, seen over varied forums] lately.

Following paragragraph has been included in the recent responses from visa offices in US to the applicants who have completed their medicals and are waiting for visas. The date in blue varies from applicant to applicant.

CIC is working to closely manage arrivals in Canada, so that we meet, but do not exceed the immigration levels plan set by Parliament last fall for 2011. Since we have larger inventories than room within the immigration plan for admissions to Canada, we must stagger the issuance of visas throughout the year. As a result, we will not be in a position to issue a visa to you until approximately June of this year.

HI friends
I read in another forum , expert said that CIC implementing new visa processing system and it will be finished in march 2011. So all IO are busy with traning of that sys. It's predicted that after march 2011 , process will be much faster than right now.

My visa expires in July 2011 and I got my 2nd AOR in Nov 2, 2011

I wanted to say 'Amen' to your words Shish :) "FASTER from MARCH!"
Even though I dont have a religion!

But maybe I should still find a way to extend my visa I guess..?

Disco

I guess I'd have to ask if that speeds up all applications or only post June 2010 applications ?

yes pls ho ahead and put all data in sheet s

To disco,
Apply for extension now .. It takes months to get lmo , unless u don't need lmo for ur work permit

anuM

Thank you!

Actually I am student, I assumed that I would be working by this time,
but still no PR, lucky that my soon-to be employer is patient.

Maybe I shoul extend my study permit soon,
and if I wanna extend my study permit, I gotta pay the tuition again!

Canada better perpare some good benefits for me once I immigrate :p Life is hard as a international student here.

Disco

Hopefully this is true and let them start the process....
