my 2 aor from buffalo was in december & im in process now
but i see people from july and they are not in process yet
so this is not first come first served it looks like how the docs land on the vo desk they get processed
im trying to find a logical pattern but its all crazy
good luck to you all

Good to hear.
Well it seems quite tricky, what is the priority sequence at visa office while processing the file .... the day when file was recieved by visa office or from the day of 2nd AOR.As many of us had 2nd AOR with quite a delay of few months however files are transferedd to visa offices in the priority they are recieved.

Thanks

hey glowingheart,
does ur status have date it went into process? does ur ecas details show "we started reviewing your file on xxx".. ?

coz it looks like files got status of in processbut details showing were same as RVBO status for a bunch of people on the forums...

Mine dosent show a date
Last week it showed in process with my mailing address on the first page
This week tey removed the address
I asked pr friends about the date and some of them had the we begin your process on xx and some never had it

looks like VO sends second AOR and update files to "in process" status in a relatively random manner and does the actual processing in a sequence- as people whose file is "in process" still have the same details as "RBVO" when they enter the second page.
Does anyone know of examples where the file was transfered to VO by CIO at the same(or similar) date and medical request by VO was done at considerebly different times ?
Thanks

theres plenty examples of that all over the forum .. too much work to create sample and give you.. but over time.. u'll notice people who got aor in same week (lets say) and medical requests are months apart... my secret hope is those cases are from people who applied before 2008 ( i think thats when the rules changed) when pre verifying wasnt happening at CIO before files got transferred to the regional office (eg buffalo) ...

is anyone else frustrated about how fast they seem to be processing post 26/6 applications and all but forgotten our pre 26/6 appliacations, even though we've had our docs pre verified at CIO..
theres a thread going where the immigration officer said post 26/6 are getting priority
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/post-626-has-priority-it-is-true-t63944.0.html

hey guys
i received this email

this is update from my side

pls keep post more information

Your file is in a queue awaiting initial assessment. This could take up
to 64 weeks from the date we received the application.

heartbreaking to think we have to wait 14 months just to start file processing.. whats the penalty for applying in another category while your one file is being processed already?
coz before this stupid file even starts processing, i think i'll qualify for canadian experience class

Hi anuM:
I might have put it unclear but I did NOT mean to ask about people who got second AOR at similar dates but got medicals request stretched apart.
I mean.. it probably is more homogeneous if you calculate the time between file transfer date from CIO to Buffalo and date of medical request. The reason being, 'in process' status is probably updated haphazardly although the files may actually still be processed based upon the date of transfer from CIO in which cases medicals should come in similar times if the transfer was in similar dates. Of, course your date of full document submission may have a role to play in it but variation by difference in full documents submission definitely cannot be for more than 4 months(120 days). Do you have examples of people whose file got transfered from CIO to Buff together(within a week or two from one another), they submitted the documents together(within a week or two from one another) but still received medical requests considerably apart from eachother? [Again, regardless of the date of second AOR and change to 'in process']. I find the two dates- second AOR and chage to 'in process' status rather misleading. If people agree, I would recommend the we give more attention to the file transfer date (adjusting to the full document submission date which may vary total processing time by not more than 120 days in the greatest) as more precise measure of application processing duration. Please comment if you have a different opinion.

looks like after 2nd AOR ..we need to wait another 12 months .for medical ..means OCT 2011 -:)

Not after 2nd AOR , may be after the file transferred to visa office
