Hi to all,

I have a good news to everyone... I just got a passport request through E-MAIL from New York visa office this morning!!! :P :P :P
No additional documents and they never mentioned if the interview was waived... Anyways they gave me 60 days to send my passport to them with accompanying 4 pictures and that was it! :D

Congrats Ann55

Thank you so much to all who congratulates me! :D :D :D

I'm pretty sure that all of you here just have a little wait to reach the end of the line... ;)
Actually my CAIPS B'FD was March 30, 2012 and after I sent them the receipt of my advanced medical 2 weeks ago, I was surprise they just sent me the PPR. So I would say if not this month, next month is a sure bet! :-* :-* :-*

Good luck to everyone and God speed!
I will be sending my passport to NY today together with the 4 photos.

Congratulations.
But why do VO ask police clearance cert ?
Have you not sent the police cert, when you had sent the full documents to the VO after getting the 1st AOR ?

Thanks

Here are some important information that might help you guys:
I did my medicals in advance last April 2011 in Ottawa, I am currently residing in Canada. Buffalo transferred my file to New York last October 26, 2011. I sent a letter to NY office 2 weeks ago informing them that I've done my medicals in advance and I attached the copies of the receipts. Then today I was surprised and I can't believe that the passport request is here!!! :-*

This is how my e-cas looks like: IN PROCESS:

We received your application for permanent residence on January 21, 2010.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on March 12, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Your application and supporting documents were received by the New York office. They are pending review.

We transferred your application to the New York office on March 17, 2010. The New York office may contact you.

We transferred your application to the New York office on October 26, 2011. The New York office may contact you.

Your application was reviewed and we started processing on December 13, 2011.

Don't loose hope guys, I think visa office are really working hard now to clear the backlog after they hibernate for a long time...

Good luck to all and I will keep you updated till I've done my landing.

All the best!!

Congrats Anne!

Dear friends,

I would like to check with you if anyone of you have encountered this situation.

My file was transferred from Buffalo to New York on Feb 24th 2010. I moved and hence wanted to notify the NY office of my address change. I wrote several emails to the NY office requesting them to update the address but unlike Buffalo office NY office does not reply to emails. I checked with the call centre and they said that they had the correct address on file (the updated address). I talked to the folks at the call centre again the other day and it looks like they can only access the database for Buffalo office and not the NY office. I am guessing that some correspondence (Medical Requests), was sent out to my old address by the NY office.

I am pretty certain that I missed something because my E-CAS says: Your application was reviewed and we started processing on March 28, 2011.

I am thinking of sending the NY office a fax with the address information and to check if i missed any correspondence.

Now my questions are:

1. Has this happened with anyone else (missing any correspondence)? How did they resolve this?
2. Since I probably missed the medical request, can anyone tell me where they send the "Advance Medical" reports and what all needs to be sent.
3. Last year I got married while my application is still pending. I would now like to include my wife in the new application. Does anyone know what forms/paperwork needs to be sent along with the visa fee (It seems the visa fee is $150, correct me if I am wrong)

Thank you in advance for your suggestions.

The only thing that I can say is, if you want to update your mailing address you have to mail or fax to them. they ignore email updating. I have no idea why email is not accepted. but they mentioned it in the first letter they gave it to me two years a go.

Guys,

Just go to the following link and check it out!

Buffalo increased the average time line from 23 to 25 months!
means add two more months to your waiting skills.
::)

Really bad news. I have not got MR yet while they are increasing the processing time constantly.

Anne55,

Congrats for the progress well i wanted to ask you that i had ordered my CAIPS notes and received on Jan 16th in that it says PPS BFD on May 3rd 2012 so is it possible that anything can happen before that or just have to wait till that date for any progress, any idea .

Thank You,

Anuj
