I think it won't take a long time, just send the documents they need, I don't see your application may has any problems. They always require for some documents (like updated FBI report)before finally prove you.

BTW, when did your files transferred to Detroit Office? When did you receive the medical request?

my application was transferred on Oct 5th, 10 days ago.
And this email with the RPRF is actually the medical stage, but we have done our medicals in advance, so they just want the fee, and the documents.

Congrats Burcu!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I too have some good news!. I have received an email asking for FBI and RPRF...

But, In the email, they mentioned that they will send Medical request forms with in next weeks. I already did my medicals in May 2011, in advance. Do they look into my medical results, before they send out the forms??? or do I need to go for another round of medicals???

Any Idea???

My file is also transferred to Detroit on 5th OCt.

Thank You!! Congratz to you as well
In my case they said they have received the medicals, and they are not gonna send me medical exam forms.
I think you should check with Ottawa to see if they have your medical results, and check with your DMP too, see if he put the file numbers correctly,
you can ask a copy for your own records too.
I don't have the contact number for Ottawa, but when we first did our medicals, I've sent an inquiry to Buffalo, and got a reply saying
they only have my medicals, but my spouse's was missing. Then I've found a number in the forums for Ottawa.
When I called this number the person I talked to was kinda rude at first, she said I wasn't supposed to call that number etc
but she still helped me and checked if our medicals were in the system, then she found out that my medicals were forwarded properly to the visa office,
but my spouse's medicals were not linked, therefore was not forwarded at all, so she fixed it for me, and when i asked for an update few weeks later to BUffalo, they had both of our medicals.
I think you need to track your medicals.
Good luck with everything!!

Thanks burcu.

I will contact my DMP first to get any tracking numbers for my medical examinations.

Guys this thread is alive again!

and congrats to all those whos files got transferred to Detroit and other VOs and many received PERs etc ... good luck to those still waiting!

Hi guys,
What I understood from the last 4-5 posts that we can do the medicals before they request so? Is that true? Another question: Is there is any body knows how long it may take between file transfer and medicals request?
Thanks,
Ali

Yes, you can do the medicals in advance but will risk having to do it again if you do not land within a year of doing the medicals.
Your second question is not clear (by transfer do you mean from CIO to visa office or from buffalo to satellite visa office) but in either case noone has the right answer. If its CIO to buffalo transfer, it may take about 2 years (as per previous year's processing time listed in CIC website). If its a transfer to satellite VO such as Detroit, there have been medical requests as early as 1-2 weeks after the transfer.
Hope it helps.

Hi 13042010,
Thanks too much for your answer my file was transfered from Buffalo to New York office so I meant in my 2nd question how long it takes after that to medicals request.
Now according to your answer it may takes 2-3 weeks for the MR (medical request) and yes I can do my medicals before their request. Any other thoughts?
Thanks,
Ali

Hi Ali:
No, I do not mean to say that you will get MR in 2-3 weeks (although I wish you do) but that I have seen people getting MR (specifically from Detroit) within 2 weeks of transfer. I do not know how fast is NY but do not think it is as fast as Detroit.
Good luck !

Hi, guys, are there any one had some experience how fast is Seattle office processing the immigration files? coincidently, I sent my passport to issue multiple entry visa in Seattle office. If I have passport request now, then I can save time. hahahaah. (That's only a day dream, ;D)

Good luck, guys.

Thanks and hopefully there will be new step for all of us.
