Hi Twixsnips,

Our time lines are very close and my status recently changed to "In Process"

Is the change of VO a good sign or bad sign..

I can change my address to my brother at LA and most probably that will induce a change in VO in my case as well.... but I dont know it that will help or hinder my case..

any pointer is appreciated

thanks

Hi All,

Just got an email from buffalo today: they have transferred my file to Seattle for "faster processing", it also says that No status update inquiries should be made in the next 90 days. Any further correspondence will be with Seattle and not Buffalo henceforth. :-\

Changing your address to LA will not transfer your file. Bufflo office transfer some files from time to time to VO in US that does not have a huge load od application to decrease the number of applications setting there. I think this process is done to decrease the waiting time in Bufflo VO

Hi Everybody
I am new in this tread. My AOR from Buffalo is on 06 may, 20110. I had renewed my work permit and visa since I sent documents to buffalo. So i need to send a copy of my renewed WP and visa. How can I do that? Can I send it online? If yes, at what email address? or should I send it at the physical address?

Thanks
Ranbir

Hi Ranbir, you can send the scan copy through email. This is the email address for Buffalo
buffalo-im-enquiry @ international.gc.ca. I always update with same email and recently when I received my CAIPS they have mentioned my update.

Thanks

my US residential status was also updated this summer but I didn't send them any updates ...

I don't think that is a big deal!

Hi folks,
I also received an email from Buffalo telling me that my file was transferred to New York office. Is that mean any thing? My time line appears on my profile.
Thanks,
Ali

Thanks Ali for posting. Congrats for one another step. i wish we all complete these step soon. I am just behind 15 days from you. Recently some people got transfer email on Oct 6. Those guys started application in nov-dec 2009. You started in 15 jan-10. It means they are just transfering to other visa office. But we need to see wethaer they have done the assessment or not.If they are done with assessment then the chances are next visa office will send the MR in next 3 months. if not then again we have to wait for few more months........

Hi Aspirant,

I also visiting this site for past 2 years and I saw many people who got the MR immediately after transfer their files to another VO. The only difference with them I saw that their assessment part is done by first VO. This also I noticed that they will do assessment after getting all background check and all. I may not be right as here every one giving personal experience views.

Hi all!!!!
Finally I have good news..
I have received an email from Detroit today, on a Saturday, interestingly, that the initial assessment
of my application is complete, and the interview is waived, they have the medical results, and that I need to send the RPRF fee!!!!!
I also need to send supporting documents to prove my common-law status. which seemed weird, do they normally ask for it?
anywayssss it's good newsss, and I'm sooo happy!!
:)))
now how long do you think it will take them to complete the process, after they receive the fees and the documents?

I hope everyone will hear some good news sooonn

I think it won't take a long time, just send the documents they need, I don't see your application may has any problems. They always require for some documents (like updated FBI report)before finally prove you.

BTW, when did your files transferred to Detroit Office? When did you receive the medical request?
