Buffalo - 2nd AOR between 15th April to 15th May

Hello guys,

I am a bit worried about the time taken by the buffalo visa office, as I have submitted my full documents on april 1st 2010 and I got my 2nd AOR on May 5th 2010. But after that there is no change in my status. It is more than 7 months and still says same "Received by Visa Office".

Any suggestion? Shd I send case specific inquiry?

Take a look at other member's timeline. I think you should wait for 3-4 more weeks before sending any inquiry. Buffalo "really" started moving around 2 months ago and it would take sometimes to process case by case.

Even I sent an email asking about the status of my file..I got a reply saying..

"Application is in Process and No action required by you at this time. Thanks for keeping correspondence at minimum" lol I sent my last email in July asking about any updates. I got my 2nd AOR on 1st May dated 27 April,2010. So Its more than 7 months my file is still in Buffalo and atleast in Process.. I dont know how much time they wil take. But my Status on website is still " Received by Visa Office" Any comments...Seniors Please give some insights..!!

Congratulation your file is in process. Some time they won't bother themselves to change applicant's status in online system.

Just curious about the Medical Request and Passport Request - are these communicated via regular mail or email?

I am still waiting for second AOR...and realized now by looking at others buffalo applicants - it takes 4-5 months to get second aor, 3-4 months to get medical and then another couple months for the Passport request if all goes smoothly -

Medical request notification was though mail whereas passport request was through email. Hope it helps.
