Hi, Is there any requirement to have the passport valid for n number of months when you land as a PR? My PR visa is valid till Sep 2011 and Passport till Dec 2011. I am planning to land around July/August 2011 so my passport will only be valid for another 4 months when I land. Is that ok? Thanks!

No. I went in person after getting the ppr last week. They took approximate 2-3 hrs.

Thanks for the wishes everyone. I was also surprised that I got the PPR so soon. I am not sure if the fact that I got the PPR exactly 1 yr after the file was transferred to Buffalo has to do anything with it. I guess they are trying to keep the processing time under a year.
