I met a young girl (24) who was brought to Canada by her mother when she was very young. Her mother met a man here in Canada and never went back to the U.S. and never applied for Canadian Citizenship. This girl is around 27 years old, was home schooled by her mom and she does work for her moms boyfriend as a way of earning a little income. This girl wants to have a life but is scared to death of being sent to a country she does not know. She is highly skilled in auto mechanics which she learned on her own. She is like a prisoner because she loves her mom and knows her mom has done the wrong thing. She does not have family in the U.S that she knows of and fears
having her life tore apart. What are the chances of her remaining here in Canada if she goes for help through immigration. kim

Her only hope is the Humanitarian & Compassionate stream:

Approval rates for H&C are not high. Best to hire an experienced lawyer to handle the process.
