Dear Brothers..

I am going to translate document before submitted to CHC; but I have small question that is I have some documents it was written by Arabic and English on same page. So; I need to translate or just make photocopy from it.

And the important things (the bio page of passport) it is also written in Arabic and English so I need to translate it and notarize it or photocopy will be efficient..

Thanks brother..

B.R. :) :) :)

If it has english translation on same page about the matter in arabic language then i do not think that additional translation is required.

Hi

You do NOT need to translate your Passport. Send along photocopies of the necessary pages.

Dear WaitingForPR_09

Do you happen to know whether when sending the docs to a Specific visa office (singapore) the photocopy of passport has to be notarized or not?

Since you have done it , I assume you might know that.
Thanks a lot.

There is no need to notarize passport's copy.
In fact in some countries it is illegal to do such thing.

Even if I send it to a specific Visa Office? I did not send a notarized passport copy to CIC, which is ok, I suppose. But visa office?

They say this at the beginning of the instructions: Do not send originals unless otherwise stated. Send notarized copies except the police certificates.

Slava I see you are already past this stage. Did you send just a regular photocopy without notarization?

Thanks.

You can try to call any notary in your country and ask whether it is actually legal.

Passport is passport and there is nothing to replace it.
So, a simple copy is as good as any, because it is just a copy.
Now, think as an immigration officer:

notarized copy of your diploma - OK. Why? Because you didn't send me the original, simple copy could have been Photoshoped, so, I can accept notarized. Anyway I call your University and confirm it. If I still have doubts I can call you for an interview to check the integrity of your education.

xerox copy of your passport - OK. Why? Because EVENTUALLY you will send me the original (passport itself) to put visas in it. So, ANYWAY I will have the original in my hands. Only someone really stupid would send me a fake copy of a fake passport. Therefore ANY REGULAR COPY of your REAL passport is good. Notarizing would not make that copy any better.

Yes, I believe you're right. A lot of people are unsure about this issue, anyway.
I guess, the same as for passport goes for the National ID. Am I right? So no notarization necessary, right?

Do you Slavasz happen to know, if the bank account statement (proof of funds) can be just a simple print-out from my on-line account?
My bank account is not in the country where I reside now.

Great thinking there about the passport.

The same principle would apply to bank account statement asked by Visa Office at the time of submitting supporting documents:
a simple print-out from my on-line account would be suffice at this stage.

However, after medical, right before the visa is issued you would need to provide something more solid.
For example, at that stage you would open an account in some Canadian bank. And then it will whole other story (much easier to show your POF).
