I've mainly noticed immigrants from Asia, India, Middle East and South America in particular do not have their education/experience recognized when freshly arrived in Canada. What about British or Irish immigrants?

I think Canadians consider the Brits somewhat exotic with their fancy accent and stuff. So if you are white british you have a good chance of success

As with a lot of things, it depends on the field of study/work

Which specific countries were the "Asians" from? Namely, the country where they earned their education or experience.
If they are an Asian who acquired their work experience and education and London for example, I would consider them a British.
