scylla is correct, I would add that applying for PR is something that you have to do properly, and you need to take it seriously.
Getting the details right is very important, if not you add the possibility of delays.
Believe me, there are plenty of people here who suffer during the process.
Applying via Buffalo can be quick compared to other offices.

Alienash, all applications are individual, so times vary.
Start collecting proof - there is no problem asking questions, there are a lot of helpful people here.

Hey guys,

First off i wanted to say thankyou again for all the help you have provided with information previously. I am very proud to say that i am now in Canada, however as it was mentioned we did have some problems at the border. They of course didnt see any reason for me to leave again. Im unemployed (have been for several years) i am not going to school or anything. I really have no ties at all to my life in AZ. They could see that...

As such they let me through the border, however they made it very clear that i was on a VISITING basis ONLY. They gave me paperwork stating that i had to leave Canada by July 22 and while here i was not allowed to work or go to school. The IO was sure to make it extremely, painfully, clear that i was to leave by that date OR ELSE. And i am required to stop by the canaidan side of the border on my way out of the country to return the paperwork and confirm my departure.

That gives me 2 months (a little less than) to figure out how to stay here. Is it possible to apply for an extention and override the paperwork and demand made on me to leave the country by the 22 of July? Is there any suggestions you guys have at this point?

It really is so very beautiful here, and i finally get to be with the man i love more than anything else in the world. I really dont want to have to go back =/

You can apply for an extesion but being granted one is not 100%. You must have a really good reason why you are extending your visit.

We actually plan to get married and do an Inland PR application. We're hoping that is a good enough reason to have her stay extended. Thanks again for everyone's help in this topic, it came in handy getting her up here initially. Now we just need to get her to stay. We'll be looking through all the information regarding me sponsoring her to get a PR here in Canada. One question though, would it be recommended to send in the PR and the extension request at the same time? Or would it be better to send one and then the other? Should they be sent at the same time, would it be best to put them in the same envelope?
