Hi all,

I have applied to PR in the CEC class, and have already received my AOR. I will be eligible soon for the BOWP, and my understanding is that I do not need any LMO. Would you know an official text (i.e., on CIC website) where it would be explicitly stated that no LMO is needed for a BOWP? I need to be completely sure...

Many thanks in advance...

Bridged Open Work Permit
... is an OPEN work permit, so why would you need a LMO for that? :)

However,

... efficiencies are gained by avoiding unnecessary requests to Human Resources and Skills Development Canada (HRSDC) for subsequent labour market opinions (LMOs).

Hope this helps.

Hi All,
Can someone please help me. I applied for PR under the canadian experience class a few months ago. My post graduation work permit expired on 19th october and I had not received the AOR which I could have used to extended my status as a worker.

I requested my employer to apply for an lmo on behalf on me and they agreed. I sent in an application for a work permit extension based on the fact that LMO was applied before the expiring of the post graduation work permit

Today-Nov 4th, I received my AOR. I dont have a reply from the LMO whether its postive or negative. What are the correct step from here. Can some one please advise.

AOR is acknowledgement of receipt - if you have a file number you have received your AOR
