A lot of people are resistance to change, especially if it affects themselves. People who complained about the new law are the ones who wants to maintain status quo. IMO, these people who don't like this new rules are those who want to collect PRE-PR days, ISIS sympathizers, potential spy converts, and those who believe paying taxes gives them citizenship rights.keesio said:That's just human nature. The citizenship law was long overdue for a revision. C-24 is a better change. More improvements was needed (still easy to qualify) but it is a lot better than the old citizenship rules.
It is no different from the senators who wants to maintain their status quo no matter how much reform is seriously needed.
