I am sponsoring my husband and this is the same thing I see on ecas. My husband can't see the sponsorship info, only the principal applicant info. I believe it's because we are the sponsors, and responsible for our spouses by virtue of sponsoring them that we get the info about both applications. Good luck on your journey. :)

Ecas has nothing to do with being your legal representative.

Normally, this is how it works:
UCI for sponsor ( that comes from the first approval) + sponsor name: you can see the sponsorship part.
File number + Applicant info : you should be able to see both sides.

Your ecas seems pretty standard: you can see only that your file has been received. WHen you see "decision made" under "Application for PR', then that means that they have taken a decision about your PR. Until then - waiting and checking ecas... are the only 2 things you can do.

Good luck,
Sweden

Canstralian. Thanks for that info. How did know your interview has been waived?

Hi Sweden,

Thanks for your input, I read in this forum and some people reported that their Applications for PR never changed. Now I understand that it should say under Application for PR Decision Made when I log into Ecas.

Hi Amanda10. We received our passport request so assume that the interview has been waived. The email they sent indicated they are in the process of finalizing the visa and asked for a copy of my husband's passport, 4 new pictures and a completed Appendix B that was an attachment in the email.

Oh I see that is very of of you my dear, I wish you all the best and I like to find people in this forum such as you Canstralian and others who contributed and those who will bring more light, you are welcome thank you so much

The Principal applicant will only see information pertaining to him or her self, where as the sponsor is able to see updates on both sides. The information will appear this way for everyone regardless of who there representative is or if they have one.

Thanks for your input Wolanila. Don't you think that since He already approved last Novemver 2012 as a sponsor his Status under his name is already Decision Made and it was approved. Now since him see both side as you said I logged with his uci I see my name which is under sponsored Person then Decision Made in the middle of the colum. Please come back again on this.

I said this, my husband status is Decision Made- Approved. Now he is able to see Decision Made under my name, here is my question; does it have to say Decision Made under Application for PR too? I read in this forum 80% of people reported that nothing has to change under Application of PR. Do you confirm it or no? thank you

Before it says decision made it "should" change to in-process, the decision made comes after that. In the end, both will/should read decision made. For you AND your husband.

Ecas is unreliable at best. Some people have received their passports and landed before it was updated.

Oh thank you again MadeInCanada for a sweet piece of information. So if it said Decision Made for my hubby, it should go to in process again for me before it read Decion Made right? He called the vo but no one is taking taking the phone. So now we rely on friends on what you have gone through will help us to be strong and wait for any contact from our vo.

Yes, where it says application received will or should change to in process, when they are done with your part(stage 2) it will be updated to decision made. So when all is said and done, there will be 2 decison made showing.

Patience is key during this process! One Day at a time. It sucks for those of us apart from our loved ones. Keep your chin up, try and find something to preoccupy your time.

Take Care

Thanks very much MadeInCanada for your update now it is very clear and I pray God to give me patient during this time. Thank you so much.

Re: BRAIN AND EXPERIENCED PEOPLE HELP PLEASE!!!!

Any One have an idea of how CIC Mississauga send our files to our repectives visa offices? Is it by post office only ? or there is another way? because by post office it may get delayed and the chance of loosing them on the way to their destinations is very obvious. Thank you.
