Hi friends ,

Has anyone applied for BOWP after april 1st week and got approved.I applied online on april 9th 2014 but still i didn't get any response from cic.Its been more than 15 days and i am in CWP which ends next week. I am leaving the country next week and planning to come back if i get BOWP.

I would in May but I would like to know a couple of things before I can comment anything,

a. Did you meet all the criteria of BOWP?

b. Did you apply online?

c. Did you provide all necessary documentation in the application?

CIC has not even started processing applications in April yet. The current processing time for online applications is about two weeks. Unless the processing time changes, they probably will start working on your application next week or the one after and take another two weeks to provide you with result. One more week at least to get it in the mail.

The processing times posted on the CIC website reflect the average processing time. Some applications
can take longer to process, some will be processed quicker than the posted times. Not counting the day of submission,
today is day 14 after submitting your application. Please be patient.

I submitted my application on 9th april and actually today is the 15th day.I called the call centre and the agent told me the same thing not only to check the processing time but also the date they are working on submitted application which says March 28, 2014 but one of the forum member applied on march 30th and got approved on april 12th, that's why i asked whether anyone who applied on april 1st week and got approved.

As I already said, it's an average processing time and all you can do on your side is wait.

yes,applied under CEC and got AOR,my work permit ends in 10 days.
b. Did you apply online?
yes
c. Did you provide all necessary documentation in the application?

Thanks and i would like to know one more thing ,what will happen if i travel back to my country when the application is in progress?will they reject it?

I ll be travelling too on May20-28th and i dont see any problem ..
Your case is different from mine, you may get it while you ll be in your country how you are going to enter to Canada ?
Just wait for it and then travel

That's why i am so worried,I came here on cwp with my family and as my wp is expiring in another 10 days the company has arranged all the return formalities and booked the tickets also,only if i get the BOWP before i travel i can come back within 3-4 months by appling TRV from my country.

Lets hope for the best.

you may and may not get it in 10days anyway let someone to send it to you after getting hard copy then you can apply for TRV and come back to Canada

Once the BOWP issued, you can print the online PDF which has the WP file/issue number and validity date and provide that to your employer if that helps.

The Application Processing Time table have been updated today.
Currently they are working on applications submitted on April 2, and average processing time is 15 days.
