Good day.
I applied for PR (paper) through PNP in December 2016.
In January 2017 my application was linked to my online account. They also sent a request letter - I had to upload 1 more form, which I did right away.
My work permit is about to expire this Month ( end of April 17').
I need to apply for BOWP but as far as I understood I need AOR which I still haven't received.
I tried to contact CIC using online web form - no response for 2 weeks already.
I tried calling them - they simply didn't answer my question - all they said was "you should apply online, please follow instructions on CIC website ... " :(

What should I do?

Thanks !

You should get your AOR soon!!! You can risk it by applying online without AOR, so when you get your AOR, you will update your application using the web form and you will be fine. That is if you get your AOR before they reach your BOWP application online.

Another option is to apply via paper, it's going to take about 3 months for them to process your application. This would buy you more than enough time to get your AOR and once you get it, you update it online using web form and your BOWP will be approved.

In my i sent AOR and Supporting letter but they still took over a month to give me first notification

Thank you for all your replies!

Just wanted to say that I received some letter from CIC today. It has 1 attachment. This attachment goes something about passport, police check and paying the fees. Is that AOR? ::)

Hi, check your email you should have gotten AOR by now, it usually comes before the reminder email. I applied for PR in February 2017 and I already got AOR.

[HELLO, WHAT DOCUMENTS DID YOU SUBMIT FOR BOWP? DID YOU DO ONLINE OR PAPER BASED?
MY SITUATION IS FOLLOWING:

I applied for PR on August 2016 and got my file number on December 2016. My PGWP is expiring on 25 June, 2017. I am a Provincial nominee from Alberta. In the PNP letter it says there is NO RESTRICTIONS ON EMPLOYMENT.

Am I eligible to apply for BOWP?
If so, What documents do I need to apply for BOWP?
When I try to do it online it ask me for the following documents:
-Letter of Support from Province or Territory
-Proof that you Meet the Requirements of the Job Being Offered
-Employer Questionnaire and Declaration
Do I need all these documents?
YOUR RESPONSE WILL BE HIGHLY APPRICIATED]

You can apply for BOWP with AOR, but then application goes on hold till the time pr application pass some stage, but you can keep working under implied status

OR you can call AINP, they will issue you letter of support, which will say that you Meet the Requirements of the Job Being Offered.
Employer Questionnaire and Declaration is not needed as you are on PGWP open work permit, this Employer Questionnaire and Declaration is just for closed WP.

Just make sure you pay both fees, work permit extension fee and open work permit fee.

AOR is generally sent within 24 hours you submit PR application. No, you can't apply for BOWP without AOR.

Hello everyone. I’ve applied for BOWP in March 8th but haven’t got any update til now. I know they’re working on the applications which arrived in late February. But I’ve been just wondering why they are taking so long.. My current visa expires in early May so I want to be approved sometime soon. Maybe I just should call them what’s going on but.. What do you guys think?
