Unfortunately, it's not recommended - Leaving Canada on a Maintained Status is not a guarantee that you'll regain the work status you currently have when returning to Canada.

In that case, you're good, no worries till September - I thought you were on maintained status (expired Work Permit and waiting for the BOWP)
