50 mins after Background check status was updated the application was approved.
BOWP application date : 11 Sep 2021
Approved date : Jan 31st 2022

Did IRCC have to wait for your current work permit to expire before they worked on your BOWP?
My current work permit is still valid for 2 weeks. I applied for BOWP a day before you, on Sept 10th, but still haven't seen any progress.

No.

Not a single Ghost Update!
It's very, very frustrating being on Implied Status with no estimates to get the BOWP approval or PR.
My employer is constantly reminding and asking me about the BOWP status (what an awful situation).

I don’t expect to hear anything from ircc soon. I’ll have to wait until late March to April.

Something good y’all wanna hear? Last Thursday inland wp processing time was 129 days, this week it turned to be 130 days, which means they started processing (it’s been increasing 5-7 days every week previously)

No updates. No chance of approval this year at the rate they are processing

I have a question regarding TRV application from within Canada. Me and my spouse are both on Open work permit. Should I start an application and include my spouse as a family member or should we have 2 separate applications? What is better?

I wish I could have good news, but no!
All stand-still, no GUs, no nothing - My BOWP AOR is Oct 20, 2021.
