OMG Lucky you! I applied in April. Still nothingI have received 2nd bridge open work permit on 8 August 2020
Your original work permit expiry date is almost the same as mine, yet my bowp processing time is almost twice as long (already). My PR AOR is early February - going through CEC. Tbh I think it is random, and you give them too much credit thinking that it depends on stream/ application AOR. But the process is not transparent at all, so who really knows...My pgwp expired on August 29. When was your AOR, and under what stream did you applied?
Those are factors as well.
I applied on April 9th and just got it back!OMG Lucky you! I applied in April. Still nothing
Congrat ! So the processing time is around 5-6 months.Just got mine approved yesterday

Temporary working visa's (including BOWP as far as I understand) are exempt from having to give biometrics. My WP expires in 4 months and I am about to apply for BOWP. Should I wait until I get called to book a biometric appointment for my PR application before I apply.
There is a question that asks if you have done biometrics in the last ten years and I haven't, but expecting a call in the next few weeks for my PR application. If I select "NO" and do my biometrics for my PR application, will it automatically be updated for by BOWP application as well?
My BOWP arrived by mail today, 1 week after its approval.Just got my BOWP approved yesterday

Roughly 5-6 months processing, and you can apply within 4 months of your current work permit expiry at the earliest. I'm exhausted by the process. I have a job offer that will wait for me until the end of the year - I will miss out if I don't get my status sorted out.Congrat ! So the processing time is around 5-6 months.
May I ask what office was processing your BOWP application ?AOR may 6th
