BTW how can I prove my employer that I can continue to work when my BOWP is in process?

My WP expires in next couple weeks and I'm in trouble now as my employer is asking for a new WP. Let me know.

Send this information to your employer:

As long as you have applied for your new work permit BEFORE your old one expires and you DO NOT leave Canada while you are on implied status, you are definitely allowed to continue working for your current employer. Some employers might not be familiar with this rule so you have to be very clear about communicating this to them. You can also show them proof that you have applied for the new permit.

I'm a May 28th BOWP applicant. No news yet. There doesn't seem to be a May BOWP thread yet -- maybe the original poster could change the name of this thread and make it the official May thread?
