I applied paper-based on Aug 20 but they implemented the new rule on me. I just came back from my lawyer and he told me that he will file for case review with the CIC Case review centre and tell them that when the applicant applied, the rules were different and we fulfilled the rules of that time. I dont know what is going to happen but for now I have to get some kind of application filed so that I can get implied status. I dont know how my employer is going to react to my request to submit employer compliance fees.
Thanks for your update. It sounds like the correct course of actions to me. Order another GCMS notes and see if eligibility has completed.

For the new rule, In terms of documents by applicants , do we have to submit any additional documents to prove the eligibility passed or CIC will check it by themselves?

Even I hv applied paper-based application on Aug 20 and PR on June 26th.
What are your timelines?

I had spoke with a few helpful and polite agents in the past. Most of them are good. We usually can tell if an agent is bad soon after he/she picks up our call.
CIC should have been very well knowing a lot of applicants don't have eligibility started. Can't help to think CIC added new rule to kick people out, and eventually not to process applications since they are already out. An easy way to clear 2014 backlogs and a devious way of eliminating backlog applications.

Again people need to think logically how the hell does this clear backlogs...BOWP and PR applications are totally seperate ?...so how will this clear PR backlog

this is such a shocking news. i would have been eligible to apply for BOWP in 2 days from now and I was preparing to apply for one.

but what's up with this eligibility cleared condition :O are they going to kick us out of the country now ?

??? ??? ??? :'( :'(

do we need to submit medicals with BOWP application ?

i just went through the checklist and for the question below i said "YES"

Does one of the following apply to you?
I am subject of a removal order that is unenforceable
I applied for a study or work permit before entering Canada which was approved, but not issued at a port of entry; or
I am a primary or secondary student with visitor status in Canada; or
I am a visiting or exchange student with visitor status in Canada; or
I am a student who has completed a program of study that is a prerequisite to my enrolment at a designated learning institution with visitor status in Canada; or
I applied for permanent residence to an office in-Canada and was determined to be eligible for permanent resident status (first stage approval).

then to another question - it asked have you had medical exam in last 12 months - i answered "YES" as i had one.

in the checklist, i was asked to submit the medical proof.

They check it themselves on their GCMS system. My eligibility never started and to date has not started. I tried Local conservatives office but he was rude as anything. everything has gone in vain so far.current job situation in alberta is not good either.

If on the checklist it shows you need to submit medical report, it's best to attach it with your apication.

any updates here guys?

Question, in the application for for BOWP, there is a required document "Proof of medical exam", I already did that exam a month ago before apply for PR, do I need to do that exam again? or send the same proof paper?
The proof paper that I have included the Express Entry application number.

Medical is only needed for a handful of occupations - most people don't need it.

If you say "yes" to "have you done a medical in past year" in the questionnaire - then you will be required to attach the proof of medical with your application.

Any approvals by eod today?
